Old Dogs learning new tricks
I have personally owned several varieties of dog from Irish Wolfhound to Mini-pinscers, tall to small and everywhere in between. I personally like working with larger dogs. I am 5-11, 240 lbs and can handle larger stronger dogs with on leash pulling issues. I am retired from 30 yrs of construction, and this is my second career to last me into old age.

What to expect
Consultation
At a first meet and greet I simply ask for their medical record stating they are current in legal vaccines. I will assess how the dog greets me, noting if it is overly friendly, aggressive, or fearful. I will answer any questions a client may have in a 15-30 minute greeting. I will also ask the owner to show what behaviors the dog(s) have been taught
Sessions
Depending on the dog's age (puppy or adult) we will establish how the dog can be controlled through hand signals, whistles, or verbal commands. I will mostly lik to see how a dog acts in its own environment before requesting a neutral training area for the animal if deemed necessary. We will work on a basic command or two and the methods used to attain good results.
More info
At Animal Behavioral College we learned the LIMA method "Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive" basically positive reinforcement. I like to think of myself as actually a people trainer and dog interpreter, meaning I will be training you to train your dog by building if the behaviors I see in the dog.
