Your Local Fairy Dogmother!
While many individuals enter the career field of dog training because they love dogs, the actual secret to success is working harmoniously with people. Twenty years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force as a linguist/translator taught me how to interact successfully and respectfully with people of all backgrounds, creeds, and walks of life. I now use those "translation" skills to help dog parents understand what their dogs are experiencing, as well as teach dogs some human vocabulary.

What to expect
Consultation
My initial consultation involves discussing exactly what behavior is happening (or not happening) and what the desired alternative would be. I will complete an in-depth background analysis and gather information about your dog's personality, past history and training, exercise, nutrition, vet care, play styles and preferences, and socialization. Having a well-rounded, holistic approach to a training plan will make sure there are no other elements missing from the dog's daily routine and care.
Sessions
Once I have some background information on what your training goals are, we come up with a game plan and will be doing training at that very first session.
More info
In successfully working with over 1100 clients and their dogs since 2008, my philosophy is that there are no bad dogs—just uneducated dogs! It’s our job as human “parents” to explain to our dogs exactly what behavior we want (or don't want) by using a form of communication the dog can understand. This means no harsh methods, shouting, intimidation, or harmful tools or techniques of any sort. All training is done using only modern, science-based, positive-reinforcement methods, making it fun, stress-free, and rewarding for both dogs and their humans!

I generally prefer to meet with clients during weekdays at 4pm or later, and do not mind scheduling later sessions in the evening. I generally do not schedule client appointments on weekends.
