Dog Training for Everyday Life

I am dedicated to equipping pet parents with the right tools in their "toolbox" to help guide their dog to who they were meant to be! By simply establishing rules, limits and boundaries; together we can create a safe, secure home for you both! Using both positive association training and simply calm body language, I take the simplest of task and use it to teach life skills that will benefit both of you throughout your dog’s life. Day to day activities like walks should be a joy for you both! I greatly look forward to working with you and your dog!

What to expect

Consultation

During a typical consultation, I listen to you and your "wish list" for your furry companion. Then I discuss a few practical ways I can dive right in with a plan to achieve these goals. If you do decide to move forward with training, we form a plan of action and schedule our first lesson together! Let the magic begin!

Sessions

Typically in your home

I usually start lessons in the owner's home so I can see routines and then we can start to evaluate what you want most out of your lessons. Each and every lesson is customized to your wants and desires for your dog. What is most important to you? Loose leash walking, house manners, recall, socialization etc. Once we establish solid improvement in the home, we can move out to public places and work on "life skills" in the real world - for example, how to properly (and respectfully) meet new dogs and walk on a loose leash (with added, uncontrollable distractions).

Positive Reinforcement

Using both positive association training and simply calm body language, I take the simplest of task and use it to teach life skills that will benefit both of you throughout your dog’s life. Day to day activities should be a joy for you both! Individual lessons are $95 per hour session (with pet parents). However, I do offer "courses" with weekly lessons (and homework) so you can get the most out of your experience and gained knowledge! Each of my bundles ($85 per lesson) includes a free check-in lesson after the completion of your training course.

Availability

I prefer to train on the weekends and/or early evenings during the work week. I am also a very blessed stay at home mom of three amazing kiddos (not the furry kind) so my day is limited until my husband is home from work. However, I have had clients prefer we mix it up and my children have participated - bike riding distractions, properly meeting kids etc.
