What to expect

Consultation

During the consultation, we’ll go over your dog’s history, behavior concerns, and training goals. We will discuss your and your dogs' lifestyle, and what you would like to gain from training. I can also answer any questions and get to know you and your pup!

Sessions

Typically in your home

Each session is a mix of hands-on training and planning for success between visits, and a little bit of fun. We’ll work directly with your dog in short, focused bursts to learn new skills, then spend time building a clear game plan for what to practice before our next session, while your pup enjoys a treat/game.

Positive Reinforcement

I use a positive reinforcement, reward-based approach that emphasizes trust, consistency, and strengthening the bond between dogs and their people. Guided by my CPDT-KA certification and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers standards, I am committed to using science-based, humane training techniques and avoiding techniques that rely on fear, pain, or intimidation
