From Zero to Hero!
My aim is to help you and your dog through frustrating behavior. If it is leash pulling, jumping, reactivity, or anything in between, I will support you with knowledge and empathy. Additionally, I offer Day Training! Especially helpful if you want to speed up learning for your young puppy. I will train your dog for you in your home. Day Training consists of 40 minutes of training, and an additional online transfer session, during which I will help you continue the training and trouble shoot. Day Training may include field trips, depending on the training goal.

Consultation
Before our first session, I will send you an intake form to fill out. This will give me some basic information. During our first in-person session, which usually takes place in your home, we will review this information and talk about goals. I will meet your dog and am able to experience his/her routines. I am able to observe behavior and we will start with some exercises right away. You will receive a written report after each session, which may include links to equipment or educational materials.
Sessions
A typical lesson lasts 45-60 minutes. Every training session is tailored to yours and your dog's needs. I will explain the reason for an exercise, demonstrate it, and then let you practice. While I observe, I am able to give you instant feedback and help you tweak your body mechanics. Often, I will use video to show clearly when the dog is responding well, or when we may need to employ a different move.
More info
I am a R+ trainer. R+ dog training stands for positive reinforcement and uses rewards to increase the likelihood of a desired behavior. Instead of using force, punishment, or fear, R+ training focuses on making desired actions more likely by adding something positive, like a treat or praise, when the dog performs the correct action. This approach aims to build a trusting and collaborative relationship with the dog while creating a positive learning environment.
