Behavior rewarded gets repeated!
My hands-on work with the behavior and training team at The Humane Society of Utah gave me extensive experience reading body language and supporting a wide range of behavioral needs. As a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner, I focus on clear, effective, and enjoyable training. Working through reactivity and aggression with my own dog showed me how misunderstood behavior can be and how powerful compassionate training truly is. I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free space where dogs and their humans can succeed together.

What to expect
Consultation
The consultation is designed to take a deep look at your dog as a whole. We’ll discuss your dog’s daily routine, behavior patterns, environment, training history, goals, and any challenges you’re experiencing. I’ll review helpful training supplies and answer any questions you have. After the consultation, I’ll send you clear next steps with my recommendations for moving forward, which may include environmental management strategies, enrichment ideas, and suggested training sessions.
Sessions
During each training session, I’ll guide you and your dog through exercises and games tailored to your current goals and your dog’s needs. I’ll demonstrate with your dog when helpful, then coach you as you practice them yourself so you feel confident practicing on your own. Between sessions, I will give you homework to continue building skills. I also offer support between sessions. Whether you have questions, feel stuck, or want to share progress, I am here to support you every step of the way!
More info
Training is about building a strong bond with your dog. Whether we’re working on basic skills, fun tricks, or more complex behaviors, success starts with the relationship. I use positive reinforcement and science-backed methods to create clear communication, build confidence, and support emotional wellbeing, making training effective and something both you and your dog can look forward to.
