I am willing to listen to your concerns and focus on what is best for both your lifestyle and your dog's personality. I focus on clear communication, between trainer, owner, and dog. My experience with horse training (natural horsemanship) and vet tech classes give me a better insight on how your dog's mind works. I value real world experience with your dog, this includes training in locations outside of your home to build confidence in known skills.

What to expect
Consultation
During the consultation, we will discuss your goals, what you have tried in the past, and any concerns you have. After meeting your dog, I will create a training plan and explain the methods used and why they work. I am happy to answer any questions that you have!
Sessions
Each session will vary based off of your dog's needs and your goals. Most sessions will start with engagement training, getting your dog in the mindset of training and focusing on both the trainer and owner. Then the focus will switch to using that engagement to fix the problems and see some results. Seeing results can take time as each dog is different.

Prior to gaining my GoodPup Trainer Certificate, I was mainly trick training with a focus of using positive reinforcement. In addition, I have been successful with training dogs on proper leash manners. Now with my GoodPup training, I am more comfortable training puppies and understanding why positive reinforcement works.
