Dog Lover & Trusted Trainer
As a professional dogsitter, I see all kinds of behavior — pulling, jumping, overstimulation — and most of it is completely doable with the right structure. Many “personality traits” are simply training gaps that improve with small, consistent changes. I’m especially strong with leash manners and solid basics, and I’ve worked with both large working breeds and tiny companion dogs. I believe a trained dog is a happy dog — clear expectations build confidence and create a dog you truly enjoy living with.

What to expect
Consultation
The first consultation is about understanding your dog and your daily life. I'll observe your dog’s behavior, ask about routines and challenges, watch a typical leash walk if that’s a concern, and identify what’s realistic and most impactful to work on first. From there, we’ll create a clear, manageable plan based on your goals. All I need from you is honesty about what’s been happening and a willingness to be consistent. Training works best when we’re a team!
Sessions
Some sessions involve working with you and your dog together, while others may be more effective one-on-one with your dog. We’ll decide what’s best during your consultation. Each session includes a progress check, focused skill work (often leash and basics), real-life practice, and adjustments as needed. I keep sessions positive and efficient — about 30 minutes is ideal. Between sessions, you’ll have simple 5–10 minute homework. Small, consistent practice creates lasting change.
More info
My training philosophy is simple: clear communication, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I focus on leash training and strong basics, because when foundations are solid, everything else becomes easier. I grew up with big dogs and learned hands-on training from my dad, who trained hunting dogs. I later trained my own chihuahua to be exceptionally focused and well-mannered. I teach dogs what to do, reward the right choices, and build habits that last. Clear expectations help dogs relax — and relaxed dogs learn quickly.

As a dogsitter and freelance performer/teacher, I have a pretty flexible schedule. Afternoons usually work best for me, but if you have certain schedule limitations I'm happy to figure out a time that works for both of us.
