Make Learning Fun for Everyone!
I enjoy making training fun for both the human and their pets by turning some of the lessons into games while keeping the rate of reinforcement high. I offer virtual lessons as well as private in-home lessons. Each class has a general guideline, but each lesson is customized to meet yours and your pet's learning goals and needs.

What to expect
Consultation
During the meet & greet, we will discuss your training goals, the behaviors you want and don't want, set realistic goals and expectations, practice clicker mechanics and timing. I require a signed letter from the veterinarian stating that your animal is healthy and approved to start training. We will discuss your pet's medical conditions if any and how they may alter the plan as well as completing paperwork.
Sessions
In the beginning of each class, we will warm up by practicing what was taught in the previous lesson. Next, I will explain that day's lesson and demonstrate the training session, then you will practice with your dog. Depending on where you are in the lesson, you may continue to the next steps of the plan. At the end of the session, we will discuss the "homework" for you to practice during the week, then discuss next session's lesson plan.
More info
I use positive reinforcement techniques which I allow the dog to tell me what is reinforcing to them. This could be treats, pets, or play. I work on creating a trust and bond between you and your pet which encourages your dog to choose to participate with training on their own. Meaning, there is no need to force your pet into learning.

Availability
I prefer to train on Fridays or Saturdays. I am available Fridays from 8 AM until 11 AM or 2:30 PM until 5 PM. I am available on Saturdays from 8 AM until 4 PM. I use Sundays as my catch-up day to finish typing up notes from the training sessions and prepare for the next lesson.
