What to expect
Consultation
A dog training consultation is a one‑on‑one session focused on understanding your dog’s behavior, your goals, and your household dynamics. We review your dog’s history, routines, triggers, and health to identify what’s driving the behavior. You’ll share your concerns, and we’ll outline next steps and training options so you leave with a clear plan and confidence moving forward.
Sessions
The bulk of the hour is spent actively working on targeted skills or behavior goals — such as leash manners, obedience cues, reactivity work, impulse control, or confidence‑building exercises. Throughout the session, I will demonstrate techniques, coach the owner through hands‑on practice, and adjust the training plan based on the dog’s responses. The session wraps up with a recap of what was accomplished, homework for the owner, and clear next steps to keep progress moving forward.
More info
My training philosophy is to get to know the whole dog. Meaning I want to know what motivates and irritates an individual dog. The dog’s energy level, breed history, and tendencies. Once I’ve gathered as much information as possible, I can put together a plan that is fun for the dog and feasible for you, the owner/handler, as my goal is to train you to train your dog.
