"Manners matter." -Queen Clarisse
The central theme of my training is "manners" with a heavy emphasis on off-leash behavior. Does your dog have good manners? Can they be trusted to make good decisions in public even without a leash on? Basic obedience is only the beginning of the story. Manners is when they know how to act civilized in society. If you'd like to see some of the ways I've taught my own dogs manners, feel free to check out the gallery at my website: https://www.mochimanners.com/gallery

Consultation
Consultations are mostly informative, where I get the big picture of your situation. We’ll establish what you envision your life to be like. Do you want your pup to be behaved enough to go on hikes with you off leash? Maybe you're a social butterfly and you like to go out, but you can't because your dog might be ripping things apart in your house. I’ll talk through your goals, followed by a walk, answer any questions you have, and lastly leave you with some advice, homework, and recommendations. These usually last anywhere from 45-60 minutes.
Sessions
If your dog doesn't know the basic commands, we'll start there. My goal is that you’re equipped to handle training when I’m gone, so I’ll explain what I do, then give you the chance to put it into practice for yourself. Some dogs can work tirelessly, and others can only focus for a short amount of time. We’ll only work with your dog until the point that their attention span is used up - which is usually anywhere from 30 - 60 minutes. After that point we’ll talk through whatever questions you have, and I’ll leave you with homework, advice, and recommendations on how to keep up consistency.

Experience
I'm a "teach a man to fish" kind of trainer. Ironically, my goal is to make it so that you don't need me anymore. It's easy to get a dog to behave during a structured session, but what happens when you're alone with your pup and they're misbehaving at 2am? I want to equip you with the knowledge and techniques to communicate effectively with your best friend so that you can be the trainer in your household when I'm not there. My goal is to build your confidence in leadership, communication, and overall pet parenting.
