"Manners matter." -Queen Clarisse
Many schools and trainers teach your dog the basics, then send you both on your way until you're back again. Because screaming "leave it!" when they're chasing down the neighbor's cat just isn't the solution you need for a lifelong friendship with your pup. I'm here to teach you how to effectively communicate so that your dog is a part of your life - not just your house. We will go through all the basic obedience commands they need to know, but more importantly, getting your dog to understand manners so you can confidently (and happily) bring him or her along with you when you leave the house.

Consultation
During a consultation we simply establish what you envision your life to be like. Do you want your pup to be behaved enough to come to work with you and not cause a scene? Maybe you're a social butterfly and you like to go out, but you can't because your dog might be ripping things apart in your house. Maybe you wish you could go on hikes with your dog, but you don't trust him or her off leash? Whatever you thought life was going to be like when you got your dog, that's what we can work towards building and will make a plan to get there.
Sessions
If your dog doesn't know the basic obedience commands, we'll start there, but my goal is that throughout the week you're equipped to handle the intricate ups and downs of life with a dog. My goal is that you aren't feeling clueless because all you learned in your session was the "sit" command. My goal is that you learn how to train your dog without me, so I can step out of the picture and let you enjoy the life you always wanted with your best friend.
More info
I'm a "teach a man to fish" kind of trainer. Ironically, my goal is to make it so that you don't need me anymore. It's easy to get a dog to behave during a structured session, but what happens when you're alone with your pup and they're misbehaving at 2am? I want to equip you with the knowledge and techniques to communicate effectively with your best friend so that you can be the trainer in your household when I'm not there. My goal is to build your confidence in leadership, communication, and overall pet parenting.
