Good Dogs Start Here
A lifetime of experience has taught me that no two dogs are alike and that it can take time to build a solid, trusting relationship with your new fur-baby. But, every dog has the capacity to learn! Contact me today and let's create a plan to help your puppy become a confident, well-mannered companion—using positive, rewards-based training every step of the way.

What to expect
Consultation
Locate a quiet, distraction-free space within your home or yard for our training session (family room, garage, secure/fenced yard, etc.). Visits last about 45 minutes and include time at the beginning and end for your pup to get into "training mode" and relax/play at the conclusion of a successful session. All sessions are hands-on.
Sessions
Before your first lesson – during a phone consultation - we will spend some time talking about the positive-approach training methodology, your home environment and routine, and doing a quick inventory of the puppy-skills that are most important to you and your family. On-site sessions will follow a customized, flexible plan tailored to meet you and your pup’s specific training needs. PLEASE have a copy of your pet’s current vaccination records handy for our first meeting.
More info
The goal of a successful training plan is to help you and your pup or adolescent dog become a fantastic team! By using a positive approach, you will learn to build a trusting relationship; helping them build confidence, and put their best paw forward in a variety of situations. Foundational elements of a successful long-term pup/guardian relationship include mastering cues such as: sit, stay, down, leave it, come (recall), and heel. This solid foundation leads to success in other areas: leash walks, house manners, crate training, appropriate human and animal greetings, and so much more.
