Professional Service Dog Trainer
I am a Canine Companions certified service dog instructor and have over a decade of experience caring for and training both service dogs and pet dogs. I have worked with hundreds of dogs of various breeds. My goal is to help owners meet their dog's needs, whether that be training, walks, or daily adventures (hikes, beach, swimming, etc.). I have a unique skillset in teaching dogs how to be appropriate in the world, especially out in nature! 🌈🌿🐾

What to expect
Consultation
Consultations usually happen in your home so in a see your pup in their “natural habitat.” Here, I can observe your dog’s behavior, assess your dog’s needs, talk at length about your goals, go over basic strategies to immediately mitigate inappropriate behaviors, and come up with a training plan that’s fits you and your pup’s needs.
Sessions
My sessions are a judgement free zone, and I want owners to feel very comfortable to ask questions and make mistakes! The first session is typically a hands on session with all parties involved. This allows to me get an idea of your daily routines with your pup, see what’s working/not working, and give hands-on training advice. Subsequent sessions, we’ll do hands-on training and briefly overview how things are going and what still needs improvement. In between sessions, I typically ask owners to do about 5-10 minutes of training with their dogs 1-3x/day.

I have a unique skillset from training and working with service dogs and their handlers. Over the span of 15 years, I have dialed in my training techniques to get reliable results and make advanced training concepts digestible to new pet owners, children, and service dog handlers. I specialize in positive reinforcement training, behavior modification, raising puppies, service dog training, reactivity, adventuring, and socializing dogs. Through these methods, I am able to reliably I teach owners how to build a loving, supportive, and fun relationship with their pups.

I own my own dog training and adventuring business so my schedule is very flexible. Each program is tailored specifically to each dog and their owner. I am happy to meet owners and dogs at their homes or host them on my fenced-in property.
