Better Dog Starts With Better You
I am a passionate dog trainer who strives to continue my education and stay up to date with the most effective methods when working with your dog. Before becoming a trainer I worked as a kennel tech, vet tech, and office manager for 3 veterinary hospitals. I usually have more dogs around me than people. I use your dog's motivation in combination with easy applicable handling to get results. Not only do I focus on enhancing your dog's behavior but also show you ways to enjoy your life with your dog by your side.

What to expect
Consultation
During a consultation I will ask your dog greets me as they normally would guests, I like to get a history and see any in-home behaviors you have concerns about. Then we will progress to a walk and discuss your training goals. Once I have a good understanding of your home dynamic and your dog's behavior we will discuss a training plan and the proper package for you. I offer in-home, day trains, and board and trains packages.
Sessions
Our first session for in-home training is about 90 minutes long, thereafter each lesson is about 45 minutes. We space our lessons every week to 2 weeks. Our first session you'll learn the training basics like how to reward behavior, how to hold a leash, and a few vital commands in managing your dogs behavior. At the end of each session you get homework that is tangible and realistic to your lifestyle. Once we cover the basics we advance to public sessions and tackle any existing behavior concerns.
More info
Our entire approach to dog training is designed to set both you and your dog up for success. Our philosophy is designed around behavior choices. As much as possible, we teach the dog (or teach you to teach your dog) the skills and behaviors required to make good behavior choices. Once both you and your dog are comfortable with these skills, only then do we begin to reinforce your dog’s behavior choices in problematic situations.
