Passionate, Experienced Dog Trainer
Having worked in the dog training industry for 11 + years now I have helped to train many different breeds of dogs and dogs with varying degrees of behavior issues e.g. shy dogs, dogs that have aggression issues, dogs with impulse control issues and dogs with separation anxiety issues. I have a sustained track record of success in teaching owners to bring the best out of their dogs in a safe and effective environment always setting the dog up for success.

What to expect
Consultation
During a consultation I will be asking numerous questions about the dog's behavior in various situations. For example, what they are like when visitors come to the home? How they behave on a walk seeing other stimuli in the environment such as other dogs, joggers, cyclists, squirrels, rabbits, a person in a wheelchair or on crutches. How they react when the front doorbell rings. Once I have a good understanding of the dog's behavior and concerns of the owner, I will recommend a proposed training approach going forward and we will agree next steps.
Sessions
Training sessions will last for one hour, that is 50 minutes of hands on training with the dog and 5 to 10 minutes at the end for any questions the owner may have. The following day I will email homework for the owner to do with the dog during the course of the week and encourage owners to practice the various skills listed for around 10 minutes once a day. Training starts in the home with a view of generalizing the training outside around distractions as the weeks progress.
More info
I am a certified positive reinforcement dog trainer. I have been working as a dog trainer for over 11 years using only force free, humane methods of training. I teach you to train your dog so that at the end of the training period I will walk away, and you and your dog will have built a strong bond of trust and loyalty between you.
