Help Good Dogs Be Great Companions
Not only do I have 5 years of professional private dog training experience, I also have worked 3.5 years doing shelter dog behavior. This has provided me with extensive experience working with different breeds, temperaments, backgrounds, and behaviors which has allowed me to view dogs through a “whole-picture” lens. I help pet parents understand the “why” behind challenging behaviors as well as help find lasting solutions.

What to expect
Consultation
For puppies and basic adult training, a phone consult is typically enough for me to start a training plan. For more complex behavior challenges, I prefer to do an in-home consult so I can see your environment, meet the dog, and possibly observe the behaviors before coming up with a training plan. After the consult we will work out a consistent schedule that fits everyone’s goals.
Sessions
Training sessions vary based on the needs of you and your dog. I prefer to do the first session in your home to get foundations on board before bringing distractions and the real world into the mix. Parents are required to have small treats, leash and harness (if relevant), and a ready-to-learn attitude! You will be learning just as much as your pup :)
More info
I have a holistic approach to training, using positive reinforcement methods while looking at the whole picture of your dog and it’s environment to create an individualized approach to behavior modification.

Availability
I’m currently working full time (Tues-Sat) at an animal shelter and prefer to meet clients on Sunday or Monday mornings and afternoons. I can occasionally meet for a session during my work week if you are local to the Salem/Peabody area.
