Nurturing Furry, Friendly Scholars
My dog, Milan, gave me a purpose. Focusing on Milan and his development, bonding with him, learning to understand him as deeply as I understood myself - it gave me a reason to keep trying every day. He taught me how to trust myself and my instincts. He helped me find confidence and peace. Training Milan was one of the best things that could have ever happened to me. I would love to help you find that same kind of self-trust and confidence by helping you train your pet.

What to expect
Consultation
I will a series of questions pertaining to the pet's history, trauma, and lifestyle. I will ask about any personal attempts to train and/or specific likes and dislikes you've learned in trying to train your pet. Lastly, I will ask about your goals for the sessions. Based on this, I will craft a personalized training curriculum with benchmark goals and weekly suggested homework (it'll be fun homework, I promise!) for us to follow over the next few weeks.
Sessions
I. Review of the week: Tell me what's been going on in the household that week. II. A warm-up: This will vary depending on our environment. III. The lesson: This will be whatever is on our training schedule. IV. Wrap-up Question: We can sit and play with your buddy while you ask me any clarifying questions about our training session. Tests - Please note that my training curriculums do include tests to ensure the pet and the owner are grasping concepts along the way (don't worry, these are also fun!) On a test day, the lesson will be replaced by the exam.
More info
At the foundation of my methodology lies an intentional and thoughtful strengthening of the unbreakable bond between a pet and their parent(s). Yes, training your pet is important to ensure obedience and facilitate the logistical activities of daily life. However, it also serves as a means through which your pet can learn to trust your lead and judgement, even in stressful or frightening situations. At the core of my methodology is: Service Leadership, Collaboration and Confidence, and Fun :)
