Empathy. Science. Experience.
I’m passionate about facilitating the relationship between dog and human, and helping owners understand why their dogs are behaving the way they are. Dogs are incredible beings: they are smart, loyal, and need advocates who will guide them through their world. As dog owners, it is our responsibility to keep them safe physically and emotionally, celebrate them, reward them often, and work to meet their needs.

What to expect
Consultation
During your consultation, we will chat about you and your family, your dog and which behaviors you would like to work on. We will discuss your training goals and budget.
Sessions
I will provide you with a training program with a list of goals to guide you through the process. We will use lots of treats and will identify together what motivates your dog best. You will need to practice and work with your dog between sessions. Consistency is key! The most important aspect of training is your relationship with your dog. Keep it positive and empathetic.
More info
I am a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA). I have been lucky enough to be around dogs for 30 years and have been working professionally in the dog world for over 10 years: teaching group and individual classes, managing daycares, prioritizing safe handling in grooming, disseminating the science of positive reinforcement training, volunteering with rescues, and educating professionals and owners. I do not use prong or shock collars, corrections or aversive methods that cause discomfort or pain.
