No pup is untrainable!
During our consultation, we will figure out which positive reinforcement training method will work best for your pup. As we are doing this, I will be outlining a training plan for you & your pup (which you will get a copy of!) After each lesson with your pup, (if available) I ask all pet parents to join me for a quick briefing to see what their pup has learned. As well as showing them what has been working for them & how to continue after our lesson.

Consultation
During your consultation, we will discuss your pup's behavior, what skillsets you are looking for/ the training goals, the estimated amount of training sessions to successfully complete one/all of your goals, & so much for if applicable!
Sessions
During training sessions, I will either take the pup outside for them to learn or if it is better for us to start inside I do ask pet parents to step away for the first part as it is less distracting for the pup.*If available* I will ask the pet parent/family to join me for a quick briefing to see what their pup has learned. As well as showing them what has been working for them in our training session & how to continue after our lesson. If any problems/issues do arise in between sessions we may have to adjust the training plan if needed. I am always available to please reach out!

Anyone can learn, it just takes time! Before getting my dog training certification, I worked hands on with one of the best dog trainers in Northern Virginia for almost 2 years. Where not only did we work with house dogs, but we also worked with a variety of rescue dogs as well. I have always only learned & provided positive reinforcement training to all my trainees. This means that while learning, if your pup perform the task they get praise & a treat. If they do not then we will reset & try again!
