Calm Companion Dog Training
Patience and consistency. I will utilize both in my sessions and I don't focus as much on the dog as I do You. I will help the dog gain confidence and learn his position in your pack, but my end goal is to equip you (the Owner/Handler) with an arsenal of tools to help you maintain and grow your relationship with your companion.

Consultation
Initial in person consultations will take place at a location that brings out the type of behavior that is a concern. When we meet in person I will mostly observe, and may interact, but establishing a baseline will be my first step. Prior to our meeting I would like to prepare for your specific concerns, this link will take you to a 'New Client Intake Form' that I use for my business: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe_okUgbyU5yWeEmK3QTWVhtDwaNwroEk5E9kCaxcVaER-F4Q/viewform?usp=dialog
Sessions
The first session will be structured as a result of the consultation and will depend on the clients needs. The strategy will be focused on turning the big situation into smaller manageable challenges.
More info
I was trained in the LIMA method, it stands for Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive. It involves careful attention to canine communication and responding with precise timing to either reinforce the ideal behavior or eradicate unwanted behaviors. My training relies heavily on verbal cues and kinesthetic leash communication. The key is to find the reward that the dog most prefers...this can vary from dog to dog and can include things like food, affection, or play. (Just to name a few)
