What to expect
Consultation
My dog training consultation begins with an initial conversation to understand your dog’s history, behavior, and your training goals. I gather details through a brief questionnaire and then observe your dog in their home or training environment to assess temperament, behavior patterns, and triggers. From there, I create a personalized training plan using science-based, positive reinforcement techniques tailored to your dog’s unique needs.
Sessions
A typical training session begins with a brief review of progress since the last session. I then work directly with your dog and yourself, using positive reinforcement and science-based techniques tailored to their personality and specific needs. You’ll be coached step-by-step so you can confidently reinforce the training at home. I’ll explain the reasoning behind each technique, answer your questions, and provide clear instructions and homework to practice between sessions.
More info
With over 20 years of experience training marine mammals and dogs, I bring a unique blend of expertise, compassion, and science-based techniques to every animal I work with. As a CCPDT-KA certified trainer with veterinary technician knowledge, I combine positive reinforcement, patience, and creativity to help pets learn and thrive. I believe all animals — from puppies to marine mammals — can be trained with trust, respect, and consistency.
