Help Good Dogs make Better Choices

My philosophy and approach to dog training is one that is rooted in compassion, connection, intuition, and a deep commitment to understanding the “why” behind each behavior. Many trainers treat the behavior without first understanding the "why" behind the behavior. This can often lead to a lack of confidence, an injured bond between the pup and their human, and more behavioral issues down the road. When we understand the "why" behind the behavior, we can better understand our pups and provide them with the skills to healthily and confidently navigate through our world.

What to expect

Consultation

During the initial consultation, we will go over you and your pup's current and past training techniques and experience, medical history including mental health and medications, as well as showcase the behaviors you're hoping to work through. It is best for me to see behaviors first-hand to have a better idea of where your pup is at.

Sessions

Typically in your home

The experience for each session will be different for each client. I focus on personalized training, and while I do follow some specific cycles training, that might not work for your pup! I am adaptive and try my best to meet your pup where they are and utilize a language they can understand and relate to. Most training will begin in the home as this is where your pup likely feels the calmest and safest. We will build up their skills with limited distractions and slowly add in more and more distractions to set them up for long-term success.
