Helping People and their Pets!

My compassionate approach to training aims to put the dog-human bond as the top priority and give you and your dog the tools to have the best relationship ever- because dogs are family! Before attending CATCH Canine Trainers Academy and pursuing a career in dog training I have spent 7 years working in veterinary medicine. I understand how veterinary care and dog training go hand and hand and a mentally enriched and physically healthy dog is important! In addition to general training, I have a background in dog sports and actively compete in them with all three of my dogs.

What to expect

Consultation

During your consultation, we will discuss your dogs behavior and your training goals. My approach includes looking at what your dogs individual physical and mental needs are and how we can incorporate meeting those needs into your training plan. We will discuss also discuss your lifestyle and how much time you wish to dedicate towards meeting your training goals in order to better develop a training plan that is feasible and realistic based on yours and your dog's unique situation.

Sessions

Typically in your home

In your first session, we will go over installing some basic behaviors to have on cue with your dog that will help us build on the training goals we have discussed. During each session we will continuously build on learned behaviors and practice asking for those behaviors in a variety of different situations with differing levels of distraction at a pace that will set you and your dog up for success! Each session will be followed with "homework" instructions to help keep you and your dog on track between sessions and help to streamline the learning process.

Positive Reinforcement

My compassionate, scientific approach to training will give you the tools to not only better communicate with your dog, but also understand them and their behavior without the use of pain, fear, or intimidation but rather understand, kindness, and patience. I accomplish this goal by making sure your dog's mental and physical needs are being met, in addition to developing a training plan suited specifically for you, your furry family member, and the training goals you wish to accomplish.
