Certified Dog Trainer & Behaviorist

My training approach goes beyond surface-level issues by focusing on the whole dog to address the root of behaviors. I consider body language, routine, environment, exercise, mental stimulation, nutrition, social history, and family dynamics, because real change happens when all factors are addressed. Since it’s tough to remember every detail from each session, I provide detailed notes with purchase links, training reminders, a homework list, and clear instructions developed over hundreds of hours.

What to expect

Consultation

During the call, we'll discuss what training items I can help with. I’ll ask some questions to get background information and create a plan for tackling these training items that we’ll go over together. We'll cover how our sessions will be structured and what support you can expect from me as your trainer. I’ll also be happy to answer any questions you may have about the training process or anything else you're curious about.

Sessions

Typically in your home

Each dog receives a personalized assessment to tailor training methods to their unique traits and your goals. In our first session, we’ll discuss your dog’s environment, routines, experiences, and desired outcomes. This ensures we prioritize the right training approach. We’ll also explore activities and toys for mental and physical stimulation. Afterward, you’ll receive notes with training tips, homework, and purchase recommendations. The number of sessions recommended after the first session depends on your goals, experience, and your dog’s response.

Positive Reinforcement

Lay the Perfect Foundation for Training Success For your dog to thrive in training, their basic needs must be met first. A healthy dog with regular exercise and mental stimulation is more likely to absorb new skills. Understand Your Dog's "Why" Successful training begins with understanding the reason behind your dog’s behavior. Identifying the root cause lets us tailor techniques for maximum impact. Focus on Positive Alternatives Instead of focusing on what NOT to do, I'll guide you in teaching your dog what they SHOULD do.
