“Jelisa was absolutely amazing! She got my super shy & anxious Dachshund to come of out his shell and interact with her fur babies comfortably and was very attentive to his needs. Will absolutely be booking again!”

“Jessica sent multiple updates on the dog's day filled with pictures and videos. Any concerns she had were brought to our attention, and she made sure to let us know how she was handling having 5 pets at once and all the activities the dogs were enjoying. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you?”

“I could tell when I picked Babe up that she enjoyed her time at Bambie's. She came home relaxed and happy. Plus, Bambie has a wonderful fenced yard and her dog is friendly and playful, just what Babe loves.”

“Judith took such GOOD care of our fur baby!!! She went above and beyond. She sent frequent updates including pictures and videos, she gave our dog multiple baths because she was shedding, and she even got her some itch spray because she started itching while we were away. Judith was also very flexible with our needs before and during our dog’s stay. Can’t say enough great things and highly recommend!”

“We've been using Pamela for years. Our boxers always enjoy a stay with Pamela! She and her family are so sweet and cariing. Our babies feel right at home! 100% recommend her!”

About: Happy trails and happy tails! We adore animals and truly enjoy caring for them. It’s something that already fits naturally into our daily life. Living in a quieter, more spacious setting, we wanted to create a safe, calm place where pets can feel comfortable while their owners are away. We understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so we focus on giving them attention, consistency, and a low stress environment. For us, we know how it feels to consider our pets as family members and it’s something we take seriously and genuinely brings us joy! We have had the privilege of loving several fur babies over the years and know what it means to have trusted partners and friends that can help out when the need arises. Our sweet companions should have a comfortable and safe space to relax when families have to be away. In recent years we’ve struggled to find that for our own pets so we’ve decided to open our home and land in order to help those looking for a reliable option for care. Sharing our hobby farm would be an honor for those who feel it would be a good fit for their families! We look forward to growing trusted partnerships in our community. We are homeschooling family of 3 that spends the majority of our days working and learning here on our mini hobby farm. My husband remote works and one of us can be found here most days of the week. We have 2 male yellow labs that hold down the outside spaces and female golden doodle that keeps things fun inside. They are very social and friendly with other animals. We also have 3 outdoor cats, a bunny in a hutch, and a large coop of chickens that free range in the afternoons. We do mealtimes 2x per day and have plenty of fresh clean water available at all times. Playtime and walks are every day around noon and again in the evenings. Potty breaks 3-4 times per day or as needed. For the safety of our furry friends we do crate or provide a smaller space for resting and relaxing times. If your pet cannot be confined in smaller rooms or spaces throughout the day, let’s discuss how to best care for their needs prior to booking a stay.
“Simone was wonderful with taking care of my two dogs! She asked lots of questions to make sure she knew about both of them and sent lots of updates! I could tell they were given lots of love and attention and they came home tired from all the playing. Thank you Simone!”

“Debra was amazing! She was very communicative the whole time and our dog loved staying with her. She even taught him a new trick! 10/10 will be calling her when we need a sitter in the future 🥰”

“Jade sent photos and updates regularly. She is the best sitter that we've ever had. I will continue to use Jade when we need a sitter. Completely the best service we have ever had on Rover.”

“Madeline was FANTASTIC with my cat. It was our first time leaving him and using a sitter, and I felt comfortable the entire time. Rebooked her for an upcoming trip while away on the last one to make sure we could have her again!”

“Heather and her husband were so patient with Miley when she developed an unexpected bout of separation anxiety. She and her family went above and beyond to help Miley settle in. I'm grateful for the updates she provided - Miley clearly had fun with other dogs and kids around. I highly recommend Heather and her family to others looking for exceptional care for your pets.”

“Kristine was an excellent host to our little Olive. She gave us photo updates and took great care of her. When we're back in the area, we'd definitely use Kristine again! :-)”

“Gabrielle did great with my dogs Bentley and Roxy. It was my first time using Rover and I was a little nervous, but she sent me pictures of my pups everyday which helped me feel better being away from them. If I need someone to take care of my dogs again, I will definitely reach out to Gabrielle.”

“Justine was amazing. She took such good care of the doggies and sent lots of great pictures of them. We really appreciated how communicative she was and had no worries leaving our dogs with her.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Townsend home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Townsend.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Townsend sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
