About: I have been in the pet industry for 15+ years including veterinary, retail and boarding. I also did house and pet sitting for a good friend of mine many times. I have worked in the petcare industry for more that 15 years. Most of it as a retail manager. I've done veterinary and boarding jobs also. I'm ready to basically become my own boss and do what I really love. I am still a part-time retail worker and full-time homemaker but would love to include your pets in my everyday activities! I have fur babies and scale babies of my own. This includes 1 dog, 3 cats, 2 tree frogs, 2 leopard geckos, 1 hamster and multiple fish. They are not only my hobby but part of my family. My dog and cats are allowed on furniture so they can cuddle with us.

About: My love for animals all started when I was eight and took care of a family friend's cats. Since then, I have gained experience with animals of all types and sizes. In addition to our family dog, I adopted a rabbit of my own who was my pride and joy for six years before succumbing to a hereditary health issue. I also have taken horse lessons, and I currently volunteer with a nearby animal shelter as a dog walker and socializer. I am comfortable with pets of all sizes and breeds, and I look forward to offering your pet the best care it can get. I am currently working remotely, so pet care will be sprinkled throughout my daily routine. Because my schedule is spaced out and very flexible, I will be able to visit your pet as many times as needed throughout the day (or even stay at the house while working if asked) to ensure that they are getting the quality care and attention they need. I work with my clients to give both them and their pets the best possible experience. Prior to hire, I am happy (and in fact, prefer) to have a free 15-30 minute consultation to familiarize myself to the pet and discuss any care specifics that the client may have. Because my care is individualized and will conform to the owner's wishes, I love to send pictures and videos throughout the day of the pet's activities and any extra-cute moments. I make it a habit to send short write-ups of the day and the pet's activities that day so that my clients feel as connected as possible to their pets.

About: As someone who was raised on a fully functioning farm, animal husbandry has been a part of my daily routine since I could walk! I have experience with almost every domestic animal under the sun, but dogs and cats have always been very personal to me. I would love to extend my love for pets to you and your fur family by caring for them as I would my own. Caring for pets is my full time job! I am highly flexible and usually able to accommodate whatever you and your furbabies need. When house sitting, I will need to leave at least once a day to check in at my house, but otherwise your pets have my full attention. I want your pets to be safe and happy. I am willing to take on whatever routine you have established to make your time away as easy on your pets as possible. Safety and fun are my top priorities!

About: I have taken care of big and small dogs since I can remember. I love meeting new animals and making them feel safe and happy! I am extremely respectful of peoples space and am always early to everything! I have experience giving animals medications as well as dealing with food allergies. I also have experience with senior animals. My parents chihuahua is 20 years old and is also blind/deaf and I am always their first call for a sitter! I have two dogs of my own and they are my babies! I can’t wait to meet yours! I currently work at a Taco Bell as a General Manager. I make my own schedule so I will be able to squeeze in clients last minute! I work 8-10hrs a day so it will be no problem for me to be able to visit with your pups before and after my shifts! About: Hi there! My name’s Nikki. I’m 28 years old. I’ve had dogs my whole life, cats too! I’m a full time nurse with two fur babies of my own at home (Ozzie; my 3 year old super fluffy husky and Goose; my 1 year old all white shepherd). I understand what it’s like to need someone to watch over your babies who you can rely on and trust that they’re in good hands. I spent summers as a little girl with my dad helping train dogs/puppies. I have experience giving medications, shots, drops, and caring for animals on special diets. I’ve always loved animals of all shapes and sizes (dogs, cats, horses, chickens, you name it)! We love play time, going for walks, and/or snuggles on the couch while we watch a good movie. I can assure you your babies will be in the best of hands under my car and will most DEFINITELY be spoiled rotten! Reach out with any questions or concerns you may have :) My hours are flexible with work. I typically work overnight shifts 1-3 times a week and any other time I work is usually 4-6 hours at a time during the afternoon/evening. Most weekends are free. If I’m not around for 6+ hours, my partner helps me out with my fur babies and will gladly help out with yours as well. I have a few acres I live on, no fence yet but we love walking around the land and exploring (leashed of course). I have plenty of room for crates if need be. I have two very friendly pups who are eager to keep your babies company!

About: Animals are my passion! I have experience with giving medication to animals, dealing with anxious animals, and other maintenance concerns regarding your furry friend(s). I will treat your pets and animals as if they were my own, so there is no need to look any further! :) I am currently going to school, but I am able to commute on days other than Monday and Wednesday during the fall 2025 semester. I would appreciate listing any medications that you animals may need and when those ought to be given to them. While I cannot provide my own home for your animals getaway, I would love to make your animals feel like they are not far from home while you're away. If you leave explicit instructions regarding what you would like me to do while in your residence, you can trust that they will be followed and respected.

About: I’ve had pets of all sizes, shapes, and needs. I’d love to take your dog for a walk, feed your bearded dragon, or snuggle with your cat. Working from home allows me the flexibility to give special attention or break for a walk any time of day! Your pet will love laying at my feet, exploring my fenced in back yard, or getting some exercise on a walk around town. I have a fenced in yard and an old, friendly dog and 3 cautious cats to keep your pet company. Your pet will have run of the house like they’re at home. I am happy to crate your pet if that is your preference.

About: I have been raising and caring for a variety of animals for over 25 years! Having experience with all kinds of animals, I know the importance of meeting the needs of each animal and giving it the love and care it deserves and desires. I have several families that reach out to me when they are planning a trip so that I can care for their pets while they are away. I understand the importance of maintaining the pet owners routine, commands, and affection with their pets to help reduce anxiety and stress while they are away. I have cared for our own dogs as seniors and have experience with failing body functions and know how to administer medications and assist the animal with getting up and moving around. I also have much experience with puppies since I breed Australian Shepherds and care for the puppies from the time they are born until they are at an appropriate age and health standard to go to their new families. It’s hard enough to say good-bye, so having peace of mind on how they will be cared for while you are away can make a good trip a GREAT one!! Pets are allowed in our home as long as they get along well with other pets and children. I do have an unground fence and collars that I can use to teach your pet to stay in our yard. I also have two nice size kennels that give dogs plenty of room to wander inside and outside the kennel walls.

About: As the daughter of a groomer, I have been around dogs since I was a child. I have seen a variety of different sizes and breeds over the years, and have experienced many different temperaments as well. I am a dog lover in all aspects, I have 5 dogs of my own, big and small, and they are my children. My goal is to provide you with relief and peace of mind that your dogs are in good hands as I have taken care of dogs since I was around 9 years old. I have experience administering medications, topical creams, and proper grooming (thanks Mom!) to many different dogs and understand that all are different and special in their own way! Additionally, I have worked on a farm on and off during my youth, so I have experience working with large animals and small animals and birds too! I am a college student studying at Virginia Tech, so pet care has always been my full time job during the summers! About: My childhood was filled of all kinds of pets and pups. My whole life I've always had at least 3 fury babies in my life. I was intrigued by how intelligent our pets are so I began to work with them. I'm very good with all kinds of training from pups, teens, to our grandparent's. I've trained dogs for a couple of friends as well as my grandma's farm dogs ( Great Pyrenees). Today I have four babies and they are all well trained. I have four large dogs that I take care of everyday. Once a day I take my dogs to the park for walks. we go on, hikes, swims, and we go to pet friendly areas for people connections. I would love to bring your loved one along with me. I have a perimeter collar for my hound dog and leashes with harnesses for my other three. I am very alert around my dogs . They are just like children you have to keep a close eye one them. My dogs are also inside dogs. I would treat ur dog like one of my own. Your baby is safe in my care.

About: I was raised around animals of all kinds. I have experience with puppies, kittens, adult cats and dogs, as well as, senior pets. I have spent time working in a professional dog boarding/daycare facility, and I have gained experiences in dog behaviors, interactions, and care. I can administer medication and follow any special meal requirements including special diets or any special feeding routines or habits. I am comfortable with cats of all sociability and dogs of all kinds. No one is too big or too small! I am at home full time caring for my nieces and nephew ages 2, 10, and 14. I do prefer that any guests are friendly with children, cats, and dogs, but I do have space to separate if needed. I have a flexible schedule and am willing to work around yours! I am also available early mornings and late nights to help you provide your pet the best care. Ensuring the safety of your pet is my top priority. I will follow any instructions exactly. I will take extra care with reactive dogs and make sure that I am aware of all triggers and rules that you may have for your pet. About: I have never gone without having pets. Growing up we had as many as 20 animals in total. I always strive to have a personal relationships with every animal I can. Have worked with training puppies and kittens as well as spending time with seniors. Love all animals but particularly my big dogs! I am new to the area and wanting to get to know neighbors and Texas! Figured playing and walking pets would blend the best of both worlds to do that. I will ensure to keep pets safe and secure while being mindful of each pet family. At my home I ensure all doors and gates are shut and on walks harnesses and leashes are secure.

About: I started off as a freshman in high school, cat sitting for a family friend every vacation where I cleaned the litter box, tidied up any messes, and fed. Now, I have worked at an animal shelter for almost two years (mainly with dogs). During this job I have gained extensive knowledge on dog behaviors, body language, and positive reinforcement training. Now I work at the Planned Pethood Clinic as a vet assistant. I can orally or topically medicate your furry friends if needed, even your difficult pets! The days i’m available are Tuesdays and Fridays. Feel free to contact me anytime those days and I will plan my schedule around you, as it’s my “free days”! I can work you in if it’s an emergency on Saturdays, but I try to reserve that day. Communicate any special needs or concerns with me and I will make sure to follow them. I want to keep your dogs routine as normal as possible. I send text pictures and updates on how your dog did on their walk each day. I’ve been a dog and cat owner for over 40 years. I’ve also was a assistant zookeeper and worked with the gorillas and orangutans. I love all animals and treat each one with love and respect. I have experience as a farm hand as well feeding goats, pigs, chickens, and horses. I am trustworthy, patient, compassionate , responsible and reliable. I will customize all visits to suit your dog or cats needs.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs/cats almost my entire life. I have 4 children, each dog I’ve ever had or have is my family and heart. About: I have taken care of fur babies for nearly 20 years both professionally and also for neighbors and friends. I’ve looked after ALL different dog breeds, lots of kitties, and even some birds, fish & a tortoise. I’ve had a dog (or two) my entire life and find myself for the first time not having one so I thought it would be a great time to look after other people’s fur babies once again. I live in Smith Mountain Lake but willing to commute to you!
