“It was such a pleasure to work with Destiney and Benjamin. They were so understanding of my dog's reactivity and worked so well with her. They also were very communicative and set so many of my nerves at ease.”

“Tracie was amazing! Our cat was well taken care of and she left very informative Rover cards after each visit. We felt better knowing Tracie was checking in on her. We are definitely planning on booking her sitting services again.”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and adore them! Dogs, cats, and more. I’ve had experience of taking care of/ petting sitting my families pets for a few years. Love taking care of them <3 I have a very open schedule as a tattoo apprentice and I am free most evenings and mornings. I can fit pet sitting around my job. I have a fenced in yard and four sweet doggies. They are crate trained so they don’t get into stuff at night or while I’m away. I also have two cats who lay around on heated pads and live the spoiled good life. All of the animals get plenty of treats and spoilings! 🤭
“You have yourself a repeat customer for life! Sissy already wants you to come walk her again! Definitely the most patient and caring person ive ever met with dogs! Mine already is missing you!”

“Jackie is our family’s go-to! She’s kind, communicative, and so good with our furry family—even the very fussy chihuahua mix who runs the show. I can’t suggest or thank her enough.”

“Shelby was so awesome with our cat Shiloh! She is a great communicator and easy to get a hold of when you need her. She was great at providing updates on how our kitty was doing while we were away!”

“Colleen was so patient with Chance. She understood his unique needs as a senior dog and did her best to make him comfortable. I loved her everyday updates with pictures. I will definitely recommend Colleen and will book her again with Chance!”

About: Hi! I'm 24 years old and attended Marshall University. I've always loved animals and enjoy spending time with pets of all kinds. Whether it's going for walks, playing, or simply giving them the attention and care they deserve, I treat every pet like they're my own. I'm reliable, caring, and excited to meet new furry friends. I look forward to helping provide your pets with a safe, fun, and loving experience while giving you peace of mind whenever you're away. I’m currently just in school I’m not working part time, so I would have lots of time to watch your pets!! I would be available at different days throughout the week it just depends!! Just message me!! I have a pretty decent sized apartment, I do not have a fenced in yard but I do have a small yard around the apartment complex! I go on walks all the time around Huntington and campus!! I love Ritter Park as well!!
About: 🐾 Pet Care Experience 🐾 I treat every pet like family, with loving, reliable care tailored to their needs. I’ve cared for animals of all ages and temperaments and provide a safe, structured, and calm environment. I have one dog, and my mom has another who stays in her room except to go outside. Rover dogs are always kept separate from our personal pets. My young grandchild (under 5) lives in the home, so visiting pets should be comfortable around children. We have a secure fenced yard, pet-friendly spaces, and plenty of attention to give. Whether your pet needs playtime, snuggles, or just a comfy place to stay—I’ve got them covered. ❤️ Pet care fits perfectly into my routine. I’m home and available throughout the day, so your pet will get plenty of attention, outdoor time, and companionship. I work evenings delivering luggage for the airport, but I’m typically only gone for a few hours after 9:30 PM. During the day, I’m fully available for walks, drop-ins, day care, and boarding supervision. My home has a secure fenced yard for easy potty breaks and safe play, and I only have one dog of my own—who stays separate from Rover pets. I also have a young grandchild in the home, so I maintain a structured, safety-focused environment. Your pet will be in good hands, with care that’s consistent, personalized, and reliable. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I maintain a calm, structured environment with clear boundaries and lots of love. Pets in my care have their own designated space and are always supervised during play, feeding, and downtime. I have one dog of my own, and my mother has another who stays in her room except to go outside. Rover pets are always kept separate from our personal dogs to reduce stress and ensure a smooth, safe stay. There’s a securely fenced yard for outdoor time, and the indoor space is pet-friendly, clean, and cozy. My young grandchild (under 5) lives in the home, so pets should be comfortable around children—but rest assured, interactions are always closely monitored for safety. I take the responsibility of caring for your pet seriously. You can trust that they’ll be loved, well-cared for, and treated like one of the family—because that’s what they deserve. ❤️
About: I've been caring for animals since I was 9 years old, starting with family pets and helping neighbors with their dogs and cats. As a lifelong pet owner, I'm comfortable caring for multiple pets at once. I currently have 8 dogs and 3 cats of my own, so I'm experienced with different personalities, energy levels, feeding routines, administering basic care, and keeping everyone safe and happy. Whether your pet loves to play, go for walks, or just wants extra cuddles, I'll provide reliable, compassionate care and treat them like part of my own family. I’m a mental health therapist and have some flexibility, especially on Fridays and the weekends! Whatever schedule you need, we can discuss of course to make sure your pets are cared for. I like to check on dogs 3-4 times a day when I’m responsible for them. I also understand each dog is different and has their own needs.

I work at a vet hospital to further my leanring from graduateing with my associates in veterinary technology, i also study about animal on my free time! “I never leave reviews, but Anna did such a great job taking care of my boy that I had too. Anna provided quick replies to my questions and showed up on time as requested. My pup needs some medications, so I was a bit concerned about leaving my dog in the care of someone else. The fact that Anna is a Registered Nurse put me at ease. She payed very close attention to detail in providing the medication my pup requires. Anna went above and beyond the instructions I had for her. She was even kind enough to water one of my exotic plants. My dog is very big at 158 lbs. She interacted with my dog very well. My dog definitely enjoyed her company. Anna has good energy, is very professional, responsible and trustworthy. I 100% recommend Anna. She will definitely be my go to for all my future dog care needs.”
About: I have a very happy Goldendoodle who is 5 years old. She’s very friendly and I take her on lots of adventures! I’ve done house sitting and pet care for the past 4 years. I’m happy to take your pups on walks, to play at the dog park or visit them at your home, whichever you prefer! I was in a house with a yard, but I recently moved to an apartment. There are very nice parks within 2 miles of my apartment and there’s a small dog park on site. I can take your dogs for walks 2-3 times per day from 7 a.m. through 8 p.m., weather permitting My apartment complex has a small dog park and there are bigger parks nearby for on-leash walks. Also, if you’re okay with it, I can take them to a big dog park in Garland.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Tornado stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tornado. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
