About: I am very playful with pets, they will have my full attention. They will get all the kisses and hugs they want. I will treat each pet as if they were my own. About: I've owned dogs for 14 years. I've fostered puppies-adolescents-seniors for over a year in the Wausau area and got a quick course in decompression and learning dog body language 101. Two years ago we adopted a fear reactive mix and he has really put me through school on training in recall, muzzles, desensitization, impulse control, co-op care, and preparedness. Do you have a fearful dog that hates everybody? Don't worry, I know how to interact with them and get them to trust me. I work full time, typically 4 ten hour shifts a week monday-thursday. So I'm mostly available on weekends or early evenings during the week after I'm finished with work. With my experience in training a fear aggressive dog and my experience in fostering a wide array of ages, activity levels, etc I feel I'm equipped to do whatever your dog needs during my visits. All with positive reinforcement, love, and patience.

I was however a bit surprised by the extra level of professionalism Melissa brings to her service. Her communications are both timely and thorough and she expertly adjusted her care plan - on the fly - to accommodate some extra shy behavior from my younger kitten. Melissa's gentle patience won out in the end and I arrived home to 2 very content and stress-free fur babies. A truly perfect ending to my holiday weekend. About: I’ve never not had a pet. I currently have 1 dog and 1 cat as well as care for my brother’s St. Bernard and Great Pyrenees. My grandpups are a Blue Healer and a Black Lab. Animals and I seem to connect right away. In the Fall of 2023 I left the corporate world of office work to pursue enjoying life more and less stress. Early retirement with a side gig…my children are grown and my schedule is open now to help others. I’m very comfortable with animals of all sizes and have experience administering meds. I’m very open to following whatever schedule or routine you have your animals on. If they just need someone to come play or walk them to expend their energy, that’s perfect also.
