About: I am deaf, so I am able to bond with pets more because they cannot communicate their needs with humans. I am likewise, so I hope to communicate with gestures as they may did. I am studying in a certificate program, so that shouldn’t be a problem. I will work during the workdays, and I can be available during weekends. I have two kittens and three koi fishes. They are fed once in the mornings or evenings. I cuddle them for some time but left them to wander wherever their curiosity attracted them. My cats like to sit on my chest or necks when they wished to, but I left them to their desires when they want to.

Dee was fantastic. We needed a sitter last minute and they were able to accomodate. We received a ton of updates of our pups.I felt super comfortable with them in our home and knowing our three dogs were being taken care of.

Kaelyn stayed in our home for over 4 days with our senior dog Levi and did an incredible job! He usually gets sad and doesn’t want to eat/drink when we are away, but he felt so close & comfy with Kaelyn that he did not experience that at all. She did a tremendous job and kept us updated by texting daily photos. Communication with her was also very easy and she responded quickly. We’d 100% recommend her for ANY job. She’s very sweet, smart, respectful, and accountable. ❤️

Kandis did a wonderful job with my fur baby. She stayed in my home and my dog loved her. She walked him and took lots of pictures for me. I will definitely have her come back and sit with Emri when I’m looking for a dog sitter.

About: I’ve taken care of animals all my life. Starting with my own when I was younger. Occasionally I would watch my family and friends pets. My animals are family. I’m currently working as bartender and starting up with my massage therapy career. While my daughter is in day care I’d love to spend more time doing something I enjoy like caring for animals. I can easily take your animals for a walk or play with them at your home. At the moment my home isn’t equipped for animals.

About: I've been a dog owner myself for over eight years. My husband is an expert dog trainer and love, walks and snuggles with dogs can't be beat! I own a business that only takes up my physical time from 8am to 11am so the rest of my time is open. I am not always available every weekend so need advanced notice for weekends. I think outdoor time, walks and grass time is essential to a happy pup and happy humans. As a homeowner and Airbnb host myself I value taking care of people's homes and properties - tidying up, playing with furry friends inside and outside.

About: I am back from home after graduating with a Masters this summer, so I am excited to come home and go back to dog sitting, what I’ve done since I was in high school! My dog Sammy is always so excited when we go home because she gets to meet new pup friends, and we both love having more dogs around to play with. Sammy is just about the nicest dog you'll ever meet. I've had dogs my whole life, and I love taking care of all animals, rowdy or calm! We have a huge yard (and a very tall fence, so no need to worry if anybody can jump over it!) that we can run in all day, and when we're all tired, we lounge on the couch and relax. Sammy and I take daily walks, and sometimes walk twice a day, which your animal can join in on as well. I take care of pets like they're my own, I just love them so much! My house will be like a home away from home for your pet. I am home working on writing and grading all day for my winter break so I am home the entire day to care for your pup. I will play or snuggle with the pets based on their energy and preferences! They will get treats as often as you tell me to give them (I know some pups are on a diet so I will wait for you to say if it’s okay to give any treats). They will go outside as often as they need and spend all winter inside a warm living room with me and my pup Sammy

Kaitlyn was wonderful with our dogs! We recently moved to the area, and needed to make a trip. My dogs were still transitioning into their new home, so I was a little nervous to leave them for a weekend so soon. Kaitlyn came for a meet and greet and I immediately felt at ease. The dogs responded well to her, being calm and respectful (sometimes they get too excited for guests). She asked questions to make sure she was providing the best care possible. While we were away, she sent text updates with pics, which I appreciated! Kaitlyn even made sure some packages that arrived while we were arrived made it into the house. We came home to happy dogs and the place looked great. We hope to have her back (and I bet the dogs do too!) when we need to go out of town in the future. Highly recommend!

About: I got my first dog, Buster, when I was a year old and he was my absolute best friend for 14 years. I've taken care of dogs, as well as many other different species of animals, for nearly my entire life. Family and friends have trusted me to walk, feed, and bath their furry family members while going on vacations, weekend getaways, or just working long hours. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Studies and was an extremely active member of my county's 4-H program. I worked in veterinary medicine for several years before branching out on my own. I currently have 4 dogs and 1 cat! I am the proud owner of Goofy Goldie Caravan, based out of Barnesville, Ohio. I travel to pet parents in the area for basic pet care needs. My services include nail trims, anal gland expressions, ear cleanings, walks/exercises, and drop-ins. I have a fenced in yard with 4 friendly dogs to keep everyone busy. I'm experienced in crate training and leash training and will be able to keep your pet safe at all costs.

Moon was absolutely amazing. We have 5 dogs and a cat. She took great care of our pets and made sure that they had plenty of play time, cuddle time, and of course, treats! She always sent plenty of photos every day and communicated with us throughout our vacation. All of our pets took to her right away and they were very happy and healthy when we returned home from our trip. We will definitely be using Moo. On our next trip.

FAQs for House Sitting - Tiltonsville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 109 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Tiltonsville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Tiltonsville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Tiltonsville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tiltonsville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tiltonsville. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
