About: I have worked at the pet shop in town for almost 4 years. I have learned a lot about nutrition and am here to help with that as well. I have always loved dogs & animals. I have 3 dogs now and use to have cats growing up. I have always helped family/ friends with their pets. My cousins would call me “ the dog whisperer” I am very patient and understanding- a dog sometimes is anxious just like us humans. I think taking time out of the day and using interactive toys is so important for stimulation and keeping them busy. I usually am off on sunday & tuesdays. I typically work in the morning until 3pm. Can do walks/feed them/ check in’s on the dogs after work and most likely before work. I have lots of grass outside & a gate inside.I would play with them outside, make sure they have a harness and a longer line ( so they are safe)& take them for walks. I can brush the dogs as well. I do prefer to stop at the clients house. I have 2 dogs at my house - it can be a lot. In the clients house I would first make sure the dog goes outside to the bathroom upon arrival. I would take them for a walk, play with the dogs outside( depending on the gate situation) Make sure they have lots of water, food & i can brush them.

I have hands on experience working at a professional dog boarding facility, where I was trained and able to work with all types of pups, including ones with behavioral issues, medical needs, and seniors and puppies! Previous to that, I have been pet sitting for family and friends for 4+ years. I love animals and always want to provide pets with the most loving and comfortable experience. I currently have no responsibilities besides college classes, which will start on September 3rd. My college is local and I will only have 4 classes a week, making my schedule very open and flexible. “Emily was "better than advertised"..meaning that she went over and above to take care of Oscar. Emily asked all the right questions and was clearly attentive to Oscar's personality and behavior. Emily also has a family dog and this is a great asset when dog-sitting other dogs. We got frequent updates whie away for the weekend and we fely entirely comfortable with Emily staying at the house. We live on a private dirt road cul-de-sac with few houses, so while it is quiet and peaceful, it can be a little intimidating come nightfall. Fortunately our two closest neighbors have dogs and they were both willing to help Emily, if necessary. Very happy to have "discovered" Emily !”

About: My name is Jennifer R, and I have been an animal lover all my life. I grew up with two cats, one indoor and one indoor/outdoor, as well as a malamute mix, and I now have one dog and five cats that i care for with my family. I have dog sat occasionally throughout my life for family and friends, and I started working professionally with animals in 2017. Through my varied training, I have gained experience with many different animals. I worked at two different boarding kennels where I fed, medicated, groomed, and walked the dogs and cats that were boarding. I began my animal welfare career at an animal shelter in the summer of 2018, and since then I have learned a lot about dog and cat handling, dog training/behavior, medical procedures (i.e. vaccinations), and some information about small animals. I have received some continuing education credits from Maddie’s University in classes for animal behavior. I have also worked at two dog daycares, so I have been trained in canine body language and managing play. I have experience fostering kittens and also fostered a goose! About: I’ve always been a dog lover, so it was especially hard to move away from home the first time. Dog sitting lets me hangout with furry friends sure, but more importantly lets you feel secure knowing a fellow canine lover is looking out for your dog or dogs. I have experience with dogs large & small, know how to handle a leash puller, and don’t mind doggy kisses at all. I am currently job hunting, but have open availability throughout the week. Weekends work best, but I am flexible especially if you schedule ahead of time. Once I get a consistent job my hours will likely change. I have taken care of young energetic dogs and older ones too. I understand how dogs typically behave, but I also like to get more information about them from clients. This way I can fully know what special needs your furry friend may need.
