About: We've owned cats and dogs for 20+ years. Over the summer, we did TNVR with 3 ferral mother cats and their kittens and eventually had all of the kittens adopted through the SPCA. Right now we have 4 rescue cats so we can only do drop-in visits. We're available with short notice. We'd love to take care of your pet(s) while you're away. We're both retired so we're available any day of the week including some holidays. We're flexible and can work around your schedule to accommodate your needs. We have a lot of experience with unknown dogs and cats after working with animal rescues. We'd like to meet your pet(s) beforehand to assess what is needed for a safe visit. You can trust us to follow your directions exactly.

“Highly recommend Monique. She really worked with my senior pup who is set in her ways. She has been patient every visit and FINALLY today my dog wagged her tail and licked Monique! Monique is really good with both of my dogs and is always dependable.”

“Danielle did an AMAZING JOB! We have a very large dog (Hera a mastif Rhodesian ridgback mix) who is slow to trust people. Hera can be very scary when anxious. Danielle watched Hera for a week. She did an fantastic job getting Hera to trust her. With in the first few days Hera went from anxious/barking/growling to trusting and calm. By far she is the best dogs sitter we have had in the Hopewell/Prince George area.”

About: I’ve raised four German shepherds since they were nine weeks old and I will love and take care of your babies as I did mine! I’m currently working a full time job from Mon-Thurs from 7:30AM to 5:00PM. I have a routine of waking up before 4AM so I have plenty of time in the mornings, I am able to leave work between 11:30AM-1:00PM if I need to check on any pups at home or for potty breaks. I am off during the weekends, I don’t do much on my time off just read, clean and I try to exercise in my apartment. I live in an apartment and I will love to take walks and take your fur babies out when needed and for play time as well. I don’t have any pets at home. I will follow any instructions that you give me to sit your fur babies in my own home or yours.
About: I have been pet sitting both on and off rover for 7 years. I was in the veterinary field for 6 before switching over to my current profession. I love all animals big and small and can’t wait to watch and care for your babies! 🐶🐱 I do work full time Monday-Friday 8-5 but will make sure your animals are taken care of before work and immediately after! If the location is near my job I can also go over there for a lunch walk or play. I do offer both staying and checking in a few times a day. I will typically have some errands to run here and there but for the most part I will be at your home hanging out with your pets and sending you all the pictures!
“Above and beyond. The experience was better than perfect. She went way above what was asked . We ran out of food for a pet and she went ahead and bought some . I did reimburse her but she still took time out to handle the issue. It’s so wonderful to know that someone would go above what was required and care for our pets as their own . I will request Jamie again and knowing how well she did and how she cares , makes it easier to go on vacation more frequently. Amazing job Jamie . Thank you again”

I am deeply committed to caring for dogs both holistically and medically, taking a balanced approach that supports their physical health, emotional wellness, and overall quality of life. I value preventive care, proper nutrition, and natural wellness practices, while fully understanding the importance of routine veterinary care, medical treatments, and ongoing health monitoring. I take pride in providing patient, knowledgeable, and compassionate care, ensuring every dog feels safe, healthy, and genuinely loved. I hope you & your fur baby are doing well. I am available Mondays- Sundays for drop in visits. I’m available Mondays-Sundays for boarding at my home. I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort in every aspect of pet care, whether in my home or in a client’s home. About: My biggest priority is maintaining each pet’s established routine! I always ask owners about their pet’s feeding, walking, grooming, medication, and training schedules, and I follow their instructions as closely as possible to ensure consistency and comfort while they’re away. If a pet doesn’t have a specific schedule, I typically begin the day around 8 AM with breakfast, followed by a morning walk. I usually aim for about a mile, but I’m happy to go farther for energetic pups or adjust the distance and pace for senior dogs or those with different physical needs. Afterward, I’ll wipe their paws, clean them up if needed, and spend time playing, providing enrichment, or reinforcing their usual training routines. Throughout the day, I balance exercise and playtime with plenty of affection and relaxation. For quieter pets or senior dogs, I love bringing a book and reading aloud while keeping them company and giving them lots of love! During downtime, I also make an effort to tidy up and maintain the home. My motto is to always leave a space better than I found it! In the evening, I typically follow up with dinner, another walk, and some quality time before settling in for the night. I also enjoy cooking, and with the owner’s permission, I’m happy to prepare a little dog-safe treat or meal using appropriate ingredients, provided it aligns with their dietary needs and restrictions. Above all, I’m flexible! Whether your pet thrives on a strict schedule, needs extra exercise, prefers a slower pace, or simply wants someone to cuddle with, I’m happy to adapt my day to whatever makes them feel happiest and most comfortable. I am currently going to school part time on Tuesdays and Thursdays so those days are the most difficult to schedule for me. I also work part time at Mad Science of CVA, where I am scheduled by season and typically work once-twice a week for two hours at a time. I can pet sit on these days, but depending on the time of my shift for MSCVA, I may have to leave for two-three hours before returning. Victoria is always flexible if changes in our weekly schedule occur. She always informs me if something comes up and we need to adjust the days she pet-sits Louie. Victoria has such a special way with animals. I highly recommend her.”

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:

- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
