About: I’ve always loved animals and genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality! I have experience caring for pets for family, friends, and others, as well as raising and training my own Jack Russell Terrier with basic commands. I’m patient, attentive, and love giving pets plenty of playtime, attention, and affection. Whether your dog needs a fun walk, some extra cuddles, or someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re my own! 🐾 I am a student at Purdue and have a lighter work load this semester. I have time before class, between classes, and after classes to commit to this! I have an apartment with no pets currently. My husband lives with me so he may be around your pet, but will not be proving any pet care services. We do not have a yard but I am more than willing to take the pets for a walk or to the dog park (depending on the dog). I also have friends houses with yards that I can use!

“Brittany was super nice and took very good care of Dobby for us while we were away. She sent us pics to keep us updated on how he was doing. He was happy to see us when we picked him up, but also tried to go back in with her when we left to go home so I'd say that speaks for itself.”

“I just had to have a 2-part back surgery the week before, and including Easter weekend. Emily watched Liza for me in her home, and sent me the best pick-me-up pictures of Liza! Liza had to stay an extra day due to the hospital stay. I have found a future sitter for Liza next I am in need.”

About: I’ve been a pet lover since I was a kid and my love for pets has only grown over the years! I truly enjoy the companionship that let’s have to offer. Taking care of pets fits right into our everyday life! I’m a stay-at-home dad and husband, so we’re always moving around the house, hanging out in the yard, or heading out to the park. Between toddler adventures and walks, there’s plenty of time for play, fetch, and cuddles, your pup will feel right at home with us. I have a fenced yard and a security camera at my front entrance. I love spending time outdoors and have plenty of energy to take my toddler and pets on walks to the nearby park.

About: Upfront: For housesitting: I do work midnights. I would be away from about 10/10:30pm until 7:30/8am. LSometimes I can rearrange things given enough notice. I'm 50 years old, and have mostly owned pit bull breed dogs, but I love all breeds. From 2010 to 2018, my APBT was trained as a therapy animal, we did hospital visits and library events with children. I taught him several tricks, such as left, right, speak, play dead. My current pit is a rescue and I am off leash training. Dog Walking: I work in the Kankakee area, so coming to walk your dog in Kankakee, Bradley, Bourbonnais, is NO problem! Either in the mornings (after 7am) and/or later in the evenings (8ish pm) it's all negotiable. I live in Iroquois county, so I have more availability to walk your dog if you are in that area. Pet Sitting: I can come to sit in your home, if that is preferred. I am also available to just come let them outside, spend time and play, feed, water, clean up. Boarding: I would love to open our home to your precious babies. Non smoking, fenced in yard, lots of walks in my small town. My dog friendly pup can't wait to play tag around the dining room table. All pets are welcome on the couches and have full access to the entire 1st floor, including the bed in the spare room. My husband and I work different shifts, so someone is usually always home. A maximum of 3 to 4 hours of an occasional overlap in shifts. I am able to crate your pet if preferred, or close off access to half of the living space. Before boarding, a few meet and greets are necessary. More details as we move forward. Cats: I will help with your cats, spending time, play, feed, clean litter boxes. I also have several years of experience with birds. I know how important socializing is to birds, and leaving them alone can cause problems and stress. Boarding of cats and birds can be discussed. As I'm nearing retirement from the Healthcare field, I would like to do more of what I love, which is caring for and spending time with animals. If I can do that for you, and ease your worry while you are away, it's a win for everyone! Reach out and let me help you today. As far as boarding your dog, my husband and I work different shifts, so someone is always home. A fully fenced back yard and good sniffer walks in my small town. Your dog is welcome on the couches and downstairs bed. Access to entire 1st floor. I can also crate if preferred. Baths and nail trims are no problem! I have a 60lb staffordshire terrier who loves all kids, people and dogs. It's playtime almost 24/7! Unless it's nap time and he's professional at that also!

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

100% of sitters in Templeton can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Templeton home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Templeton.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
