About: I currently have two dogs and experience with all types and breeds. I work from home and take the dogs for walks/runs on Gearhart beach. I am a very attentive dog mom. I have experience with dog medications, wound car, injections, tick removal. I work from home and am very attentive to dogs and ensuring they are well cared for. I regularly take dogs to the beach which is 1/2 a mile away and they run and play. I have two friendly dogs and a large, but unfenced, yard. Dogs have free reign in the house and can use the furniture and beds.

About: Ive grown up constantly having dogs around me. I’ve taken care of all different kinds of breeds so I’m comfortable with all sizes and most temperaments! My schedule is pretty open. I work later in the day so I’m available 10:00am-1:30pm Thurs-sun and Mon-Wednesday are all available! Having my own dog, I understand how important it is that they are comfortable and taken care of! I have a chihuahua with a very impatient bladder and I’m very blessed to live so close to work so I walk home every two hours to let him outside. About: I’ve worked with cats and dogs from all walks of life. I have a wide range of experience from working for an amazing rescue called Canine Connections and personal experience. Canine Connections rescue is a program within the Washington state juvenile institution that teaches the juvenile residents how to care for and work with cats and dogs. I was an employee and ran this program within the juvenile institution. We would take in puppies/dogs from local humane societies to train them generalized life skills, walking skills, and take complete care of multiple dogs at one time. We worked with dogs of all different sizes, ages, and breeds so during the training it was important to determine target behavior that the individual dogs would need to succeed in their future furever home. The puppies/dogs would be posted for adoption once they’ve gone through the program and training. I have experience with all types of handling equipment (front/back harnesses, gentle leader, prong, etc.), walking skills/basic obedience training, and the everyday care of dogs who are timid with people and/or other animals to very excited and distracted dogs. We trained dogs with positive reinforcement, which includes a lot of patience and treats, and taking the time to learn what the dogs strengths and weaknesses are to be successful. We also had a program that socialized and cared for cats and kittens while they waited to be adopted. I realized that I have a passion for working with animals, and I would love to continue in this field since I recently moved to this area for my new chapter in life. My pugs are higher maintenance so I am familiar with medications administered by mouth, ears, and eyes. I also love to brush and maintain animals fur/coats, it is really a good way to bond if your animal is comfortable with it. I am currently going through a grooming course, and I have experience of my own from my personal dogs and working with puppies/dogs at the rescue. This includes working with animals that do not like or are new to grooming. I am mainly experienced with simple brushing and bathing, so I will stick to that level for now and I hope to be a groomer in the future once I’ve gone through my course and gained experience. I'm a stay at home mom and I've got alot of time to love on more than my own animal and child. I like to stay busy. 7 days a week, 9am-9pm and weekends vary by need. Animals are family and treated as such in my home. They're given structure- taught manners, given time to play, to eat, to potty, to learn, and also to rest and just be themselves. I enjoy furry toddlers as much as I do my human children. I own a crate for those that are shy, and need security. Tons of toys, and I have a long lead which allows a dog (or cat) their freedom while still being leashed which is perfect for recall training as well as frolicking in the yard behind my apartment. I'll need to know if any client is sensitive around small children, as I have an infant. Animals must be up to date on vaccines, and rabies. Not open to intact pets over 2 years old.

Having owned house pets, birds, farm animals, and reptiles, I have developed a keen eye for their comfort and health. Then it’s playtime with the kids while farm chores take place. If your dog eats 3x a day we’ll do lunch, more playtime, rest time since this is equally as important. Mental stimulation to stay sharp means using snuffle rugs, treat dispensers, hand feeding meals while reinforcing manners and obedience. My kids have a schedule and boundaries as do the animals giving everyone peace of mind.
