“I will definitely book with Margaret again. She took very good care of our Juno and kept in contact and sent pictures of Juno during our trip. I felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her. :)”

“Ashlee was INCREDIBLE. She went above and beyond in every way. I’ve never had a rover be so thoughtful or intentional or thorough. She sent me a lengthy questionaire about my dog and then sent me daily updates with photos and videos. I could tell my dog was being taken care of and loved. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Rebecca did an incredible job taking care of our Mowgli. We got status updates, pictures and video so we knew how Mowgli was doing. Our pup loved their dogs and we will for sure book with Rebecca and her family again.”

“Jarica was fantastic with Auggie. She even ended up allowing him to stay an extra day. She regularly send pictures to update us in his wellbeing and took him for walks. She spent a lot of time outside with him throwing him the back and playing fetch. Our dog seemed very comfortable with her. Will definitely be using her to board our pets in the future!”

“Jana was just wonderful with our Ziggy. He came home happy and feeling great. I know Ziggy enjoyed all Jana's family because Jana sent daily pictures of our Ziggy playing. We will Jana again and can highly recommend her. Thank you”

“We had such a great experience leaving our dog with Becca! He got so much love and attention that he didn't even miss us. She sent us a picture every day of naps or walks to the park! “Emily did wonderfully with our anxious girl! She sent lots of uspdates and photos, and when our pup got an upset tummy from separation anxiety she gave her some pumpkin for her tummy. “Zeus did great and loved his time with Jason and Bridget. They went messages with pictures everyday so I could see how he was doing. I would highly recommend them to other pet parents.”

“Chris and Sandy were very welcoming and accommodating throughout the process. We appreciated the photos, videos, and little stories they shared about Oliver's stay. It was especially sweet hearing how Oliver followed Chris around like a little shadow! They were friendly and easy to communicate with, and we appreciated their efforts to make Oliver feel at home. Thank you both for taking care of our little guy!”

“Kristen was amazing!! She sent updates everyday, took our dog to the dog park/on walks for hours each day. So sweet and you can tell she really loves animals! We will absolutely be using her going forward!”

“They are amazing. Super last minute. But took Zoey with open arms. They kept me updated the whole time with quick responses. I’ll definitely be using them every time I take a trip. My Zoey was even happy.”

“We've booked with Crowe & Taylor twice (in close succession) and Levee had a wonderful time! We got tons of pictures and we could tell she was happy. Levee is typically low energy but will play with dogs when she's comfortable, and we got videos of Levee playing with their dog and it was very heartwarming! We could also tell she'd been playing well because she was turning grey (she's normally white) and had made plans to bathe her after pick up but Crowe & Taylor beat us too it and had bathed her the morning we picked her up! Overall, they're amazing and we're incredibly grateful for the care and comfort they gave our princess (and my nervous self). We'll definitely be reaching out next time we need! ❤️”

“Kimberly was really great with Sampson. It was his first time staying with someone that wasn't family. The pictures she sent were wonderful. I will use Kimberly for any future stays Sampson may need.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Taylor
Peggy was amazing with my Rusty! She let me drop off his stuff the night before going on vacation so that I didn’t have to worry about rushing to set things up the next morning. She also wonderfully handled him having a seizure during his stay, and timely notified me of it happening. She had no problems giving him his oral medications. She sent pictures and little updates throughout the week. I will absolutely use her services again in the future!

I can’t say enough good things about Ryan. We lucked out when we found him several years ago. He has been our consistent pet sitter for going on four years now and it’s so upsetting that we’re moving because I fully trust my pets in his care. He truly cares about the animals he watches and I know my animals are in the best hands

Morgan was amazing! She was easy to communicate with and took the best care of my golden doodle! She sent pictures regularly and made me feel comfortable at please while our family was away! We were all able to enjoy our vacation knowing our dog was being well cared for and entertained while we were away! Highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Taylor home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Taylor.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Taylor sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in UT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
