“Deanna played with my babies and took care of them. She was concerned about their wellbeing and presence. She even got my shy baby to come out and visit. Well done will use again.”

About: I have been in-house pet sitting for 8 years now. What started as a college side gig has now turned into my side job business. After years of getting referrals by word of mouth, I recently, in 2026, decided to go public with my business! So that brings me to Rover! 🐾 I believe pet care is about more than just a task of feeding, potty breaks, and walks. I have always had a deep love for animals and making sure they feel LOVED. When you choose me as your sitter, your pets become my bonus-furbabies, and I love them as if they were my own! I learn your pet's routine, personality, and preferences so they receive love and care that is tailored to them. A lot of my clients are repeat clients, and I love getting to know each pet's unique personality. As the owner of Paws & Relax Pet Staycation, I value building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. I know how important communication is, so I'll keep you updated with photos and messages, giving you peace of mind while you're away. My goal is simple: for your pets to feel cared for and comfortable in their home, and for you to return home knowing that they were treated like family. I currently work full-time near Grelot Rd. and University Blvd. When you hire me as your in-home pet sitter, my goal is to spend as much time as possible at your home with your pets, seamlessly blending their care with my workday schedule. I also provide overnight stays to ensure your pets have companionship throughout the night, keeping their usual routine completely intact and stress-free! If your home is within 15 to 20 min from my workplace, a midday visit is available for a potty break for your pets. I only provide pet sitting inside the client's home, as I believe pets do best in their own familiar surroundings. I always schedule a Meet & Greet at least two weeks before your trip so I can meet your pets with you there—that way, I’m a friend walking through the door on day one, not a stranger. While I'm visiting, we’ll fill out a personalized care sheet together. We'll map out everything from feeding schedules and medications to their favorite games, daily habits, and emergency info, ensuring they get the exact care they're used to.
“Anna is awesome! She is so easy to work with, communicate with, and took such good care of my puppy! When it stormed one afternoon when she was there, she stayed with her until the thunder stopped! Will def keep using Anna!”

“Michael was so kind and thoughtful taking care of our two voids! He went above and beyond to make sure they felt safe and cared for over a holiday weekend. Will definitely book him again!”

“Cynthia is such a great asset to my Sophie! She is very kind and loving with her. She is prompt and detail oriented . She asked all the right questions to make sure she didn’t miss any aspect of Sophie’s care. Today was our first drop in visit and I will definitely be scheduling more in the future. She feels like someone I can trust!”

“Dawn is the best sitter I've hired on Rover, hands down!!! She is professional, punctual, conscientious, pleasant and thoughtful! She did an awesome job taking care of my kitties! She even won over my shy kitty, which is saying a lot! I can't say enough good things about Dawn. She's the best!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals as long as I can remember and I enjoy it immensely. I use to raise and show Boxers and Dobermans. After that I started fostering for a number of different rescues so I have a lot of experience with different breeds and situations. I also helped with training so the dogs were more adoptable. I have had different sizes of dogs from a Lhasa Apso to Great Danes. I have also had horses, goats, cows, pigs ( inside and outside)and chickens. Lastly I have a Veterinarian Technician certification. I am currently working only a few hours and days so I have plenty of time to spend with your dogs. I’m available weekends and during the week. I can adapt my schedule for you and your pet’s needs and provide the love, attention and care that your pets deserve when you are away.

I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for at all times. I am available weekdays after 2:40 PM and have flexible availability on weekends. I make it a priority to give pets the time, attention, exercise, and care they need while their owners are away. Please note that I am currently unavailable on holidays. I always prioritize the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet in my care. I create a calm, clean, and loving environment where pets can feel secure and relaxed. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, routines, medications, walks, and playtime to ensure pets remain comfortable and cared for. I treat every pet with patience, kindness, and the same level of attention I would give my own animals.
About: Hi! I’m a homeschool mama to two kids, a small business owner, and a lifelong animal lover. My kids love animals and enjoy having furry friends around, too! Our home is a warm, family-centered place where pets are welcomed with plenty of love, attention, cuddles, and playtime. I provide a safe, loving, clean, and non-smoking home where pets can feel comfortable and cared for. ❤️ I have years of experience with pet sitting and house sitting through Rover, along with a lifetime of caring for my own pets since I was a little girl. Over the years, I’ve also had the opportunity to care for many friends’ and family members’ pets and can provide references upon request. I’ve also cared for several special-needs dogs and am comfortable administering medications and following individual care routines. We understand how much your pets mean to you because they’re family to us, too. We’ll follow their routines, give them lots of affection, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while you’re away. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can enjoy some peace of mind while your pets are in our care. 🐶🐱💕 Come as a guest, leave as family. 🐾 I’m a homeschool mama, so I’m home most of the day and have plenty of flexibility to give pets the attention and companionship they need. I’m able to work walks, potty breaks, meals, playtime, cuddles, and medication into our daily schedule without pets being left alone for long periods. Our family genuinely enjoys having animals around, so caring for pets feels like a natural part of our everyday life. 🐾❤️ Whether pets are staying in my home or I’m caring for them in their own home, I focus on keeping them safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. In my home, pets are welcomed as part of the family and receive plenty of attention, playtime, walks, cuddles, meals, and supervision. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their usual routine and instructions closely, while also keeping their home clean and secure. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you know your pets are happy and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾❤️

Drop ins, overnights and anything in between. Punctual, reliable, and I would risk life and limb to keep your pets safe. About: What makes me different is that my experience isn’t just from watching dogs—it comes from truly caring for my own over many years. I went through the full journey of raising a puppy into her senior years, which taught me patience, responsibility, and deep respect for animals’ needs. Since then, I’ve felt naturally drawn to caring for pets and making sure they feel safe, loved, and understood. I currently have full availability after returning from college, which allows me to focus on pet care as a priority. I am flexible with scheduling and can provide care throughout the day, including mornings, evenings, and overnight stays when needed. I care for pets by following their normal routines as closely as possible to help them feel safe and comfortable. In a client’s home, I make sure to respect their space while keeping pets on their usual feeding, walking, and play schedule. I pay close attention to instructions and details provided by the owner so each pet receives consistent, personalized care. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a calm, clean, and safe environment where they are supervised and given plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I make sure they have fresh water, proper feeding times, and a stress-free space to relax. My goal is always to treat every pet like my own and ensure they feel secure and well cared for at all times.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
