“Wonderfully patient with my cat, Charlie, who needed time to adjust to their cat and dog. After spending some solo time with our Charlie in closed off parts of the house, Charlie voluntarily entered the rest of the house, accepting of her new friends! I appreciated Matthew and Ellie taking the required time and care to make the adjustment go well. Will definitely consider using them again.”

“Zoe was absolutely wonderful to deal with! Contacted her 2 days before needing to head out of state for a full week and she was able to accommodate our situation for our 6 mo old mini golden doodle. Sent photos of our baby every day and kept us posted on her getting used to being around other furry friends since she hadn’t had any exposure. Would highly recommend ❤️”

About: Hi! I’m Jenna, a lifelong Bloomingtonian and best friend to every dog I’ve ever met! I am a stay-at-home mom to a preschooler and I also help manage a national non-profit rescue for French Bulldogs. Simply put-dogs are my people! I have always deeply connected with dogs since I was a kid. There is no other creature like a dog, and the unconditional love they give is unlike anything else. Before I was a mom, my dogs were my babies. After I became a mom, my dogs were still my babies. I have deeply loved many bulldogs in my lifetime, and as such am very adept to handling brachycephalic breeds and their particular needs. (Though it should be noted I tend to regular-nosed breeds with the same loving care!) I am very comfortable caring for animals with moderate medical needs, those with disabilities, seniors, those requiring medication administration, etc. I have cared for hospice dogs, dietary restrictions, Mega-esophagus, Colitis, deafness and total blindness. You could say that special needs are my specialty. I have over 20 years of experience helping folks take care of their animal babies, from Pugs to Cane Corsos, several kitties and even some reptiles in between. I understand that all our animals are precious and I will take care of them all with the same attention and protectiveness I give my own. When you cannot be with them, you don’t want to worry about them. I get that. I cannot replace you but I can guarantee your baby will be loved, safe and a little spoiled until you get back. I am new to Rover, but very experienced. I am happy to do drop-ins, daycare or walks-whatever you need. As a dog mom who knows you have lots of choices and only want the best for your little buddies, I can promise that you can trust me with your babies. I currently work for a dog rescue remotely and am otherwise a stay-at-home-mom to a preschooler. I currently foster one rescue frenchie who lives with us and is sweet and tolerant to all my Rover guests. I care for pets in the way that is safest for them, regardless of where that is. In my home, dogs are under my constant watch. We live far from the road (about .15 miles) but pets will be kept leashed beside me outdoors since my yard is not fenced .

About: I have cared for dogs and cats for friends, family, and neighbors, helping with walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins. I am patient, dependable, and attentive to each pet’s individual routine and personality. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I will follow your instructions carefully, keep your home respectful, and provide regular updates and photos while you are away. I am currently enrolled in classes at IU, so Mondays and Wednesdays are my busiest days, although I am still available during those evenings. I have flexible daytime and nighttime availability the rest of the week, including weekends, giving me plenty of time to provide attentive and reliable pet care. I live in a comfortable apartment with convenient access to dog parks and several local parks for walks, exercise, and playtime. I carefully follow each owner’s feeding, walking, medication, and safety instructions while keeping pets comfortable and supervised. I will also provide regular photos and updates so you can feel confident that your pet is safe and happy.

About: I've been providing reliable, loving pet care since 2017, with most of my experience caring for pets in their own homes where they feel comfortable and secure. As I expand my services to include boarding in my home, I'm excited to offer a warm, safe, and welcoming environment for your furry family members. I'm a proud dog mom to three friendly girls, each around 25 pounds, who love making new friends and sharing their home with visiting pups. They are well-socialized, enjoy playing with other dogs, and are always excited when a new guest comes over for a sleepover. Whether your pet is staying overnight or for an extended visit, you can count on them receiving plenty of attention, companionship, playtime, and care—just like one of my own. 🐾 I work full-time, so my schedule closely mirrors a typical Monday–Friday routine, which can help provide consistency for pets that are used to being home during the workday. My three dogs are crate-trained and comfortably spend time resting while I'm at work. I also have opportunities to work from home on occasion, allowing for extra supervision and interaction throughout the day. If your furry family member needs a midday potty break, I'm happy to come home during my lunch break to accommodate their needs. Outside of work hours, pets receive plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and companionship as part of our daily routine. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment that feels as close to home as possible. 🐾 I provide a safe, structured, and welcoming environment where pets are treated like part of the family. I have a fully fenced yard, and all dogs are supervised during outdoor time, whether they're taking a potty break, exploring, or enjoying playtime. Safety is always my top priority, so pets are never left unattended outside. Inside the home, pets receive plenty of attention, companionship, and opportunities to relax and play. I work to maintain a routine that helps pets feel comfortable and secure while they're away from home, ensuring they get the care, exercise, and affection they need throughout their stay. 🐾

On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

99% of sitters in Tanner can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Tanner home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Tanner.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tanner. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

You and your Tanner sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
