About: I am open to caring for any and all pets. As someone who currently has 3 Great Pyrenees, an Austrian Kelpie puppy, and other pets, I am experienced in all areas and types. I have open availability to care for pets. I work for myself so build my schedule around jobs and appointments as needed. I am very flexible with accommodations so please reach out if you have any questions. I do not offer overnight in home care at the moment due to all of my pets at home but will gladly stay at your home with your pet. I can send pictures and videos of your pet to you and don't mind cameras in the home so you can drop in any time and see your fur and/or scaly baby.

About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of 2025 :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours WEDNESDAY night thru SUNDAY. morning. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Thursday thru Saturday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. See my reviews / testimonials on the WAG! platform for pets I have provided care for most recently. Quality. Compassionate. Care. is what I provide pets. I want them to have the creature comforts that make them feel all warm and comfy and content.

About: I've been caring for animals since I was 7 years old, and my love for pets has only grown over the years. As an adult, I worked at an animal shelter, where I gained hands-on experience caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, needs, and backgrounds. I have also adopted and cared for three dogs of my own throughout every stage of their lives, from energetic puppies to senior dogs requiring extra patience, attention, and specialized care. This experience has given me a strong understanding of daily pet care, administering medications, recognizing changes in behavior, and providing the love and comfort pets need to feel safe and happy. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your furry family members. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, companionship, or extra attention due to age or special needs, I am committed to providing reliable, compassionate care while you're away. I am currently in between jobs, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to provide your pets with the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. Whether your furry family member enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I can tailor my care to their individual needs and routine. As a lifelong pet owner with experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, I understand how important it is to ensure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. From energetic puppies and playful kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care, I am committed to treating every animal as if they were my own. I have a fully fenced backyard with a 5-foot chain-link fence, providing a safe and secure space for your pet to play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. I do not have neighbors directly adjacent to my yard, so there is minimal concern about pets being distracted or stressed by animals on the other side of the fence. I am a lifelong animal lover and currently share my home with a senior dog, whom I've raised since she was 8 weeks old, and a young cat who has been part of our family since he was 8 weeks old as well. Having cared for pets through every stage of life—from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets requiring extra attention—I understand that every animal has unique needs and routines. When your pet stays with me, they will be treated like a member of the family. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment where they can feel at home while you're away. I personally allow my pets on the furniture, but I fully respect each owner's preferences. If your pet has specific rules, routines, feeding schedules, medication needs, or restrictions, just let me know and I will be happy to follow them to ensure consistency and comfort during their stay. I believe communication is important, so I am also happy to provide updates, photos, and messages while your pet is in my care, giving you peace of mind knowing they are safe, happy, and well loved.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Taft. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Taft after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
