About: Hi! For many years, I was a Fear Free Certified veterinary assistant in Charlottesville, VA. I also have experience as a dog kennel manager, farm assistant & animal rescue volunteer/advocate. During my 10 years of petsitting work, i’ve learned how to make your pets as stress free as possible while your away. Petsitting is my full time job! It is easy for both myself & my clients to have such flexibility. I schedule my days off based off of my client’s bookings. I have studied animal medicine & behavior for. I am a Fear Free certified veterinary assistant. While sitting in your home, I stick to your pets’ schedule but am also happy to take your pets on additional fun activities when requested.
About: While my last 10 years of employment have been in the schools and therapy centers, I have been caring for animals since I was about 10 years old. I grew up volunteering at dog training facilities and learning “tricks of the trade”. As a former cat owner and current dog owner, I am a firm believer that pets are a vital family member and deserve all the love and care that humans do (sometimes more). I have currently taken time off from being a full time school administrator to focus on my family. While my children are in school and activities, I am looking to spend time with animals and help others keep their pets well-taken care of while they may be away or working. About: My first dog was with me for 14 years and I now have an 11 year old. Raised like family and to be trail dogs. I walk twice a day and provide plenty of affection. I work from home. There is a morning walk and then an afternoon walk with potty breaks during the day. I can travel within the Massanutten and Elkton areas. I can keep them on the current feeding schedule and provide bathroom breaks as needed. Crates are acceptable and specific instructions followed. I have a friendly Fruggle who gets along with everyone. We do prefer dog friendly dogs.

My family has 3 dogs, and for 3 years we fostered special needs dogs from the animal shelter: litters of puppies, sick dogs, pregnant dogs, and dogs with special medical needs. I volunteered as a dog walker at our animal shelter. I worked for a year at a dog boarding facility handling all aspects of dog care: feeding, medication, walks and play, cleaning. I attended puppy socialization and training classes with my own dogs. I am a college sophomore available for summer, weekend and holiday pet sitting in and near Greene County. I can be with your pets overnight from dinner time to after breakfast. I have a flexible part-time daytime job, so can return for daytime potty and visits as needed. I start by understanding your pets daily routine, medical and care needs, and your expectations. I will make a visit to introduce myself before your trip. While you are away, I will send regular updates and ask any questions.

About: I have cared for animals since I was little. We have had all kinds of pets from (hamsters, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs, and cats). My 12 year old daughter loves animals and has worked over the years with dog sitting for hours at their house and walking the dogs in our neighborhood. I am a teacher. I am off during the summer and we are home every day. Even if I am not here for a few hours, I have two responsible tweens that are very capable of loving and caring for your pet. We live in a duplex with a mid size back yard. It is not fenced in, but I can put them on a long leash if needed for running. We also have a mile long road that makes a circle of our neighborhood. Even though our subdivision is under construction, we will have a pond and a play area for our dogs to play. We also are able to crate if needed. We have a small dog of our own that would love company and we have a guinea pig that stays in the living room in a fenced in area (which we can put in a cage in a bedroom if needed). Our dog is not crated and is allowed on the furniture and sleeps in our beds.

“Julia has dog sit for me multiple times. One particular time, she stayed with my dog for a whole week while I was on vacation. She provided exceptional care for my sweet pup. Every day I was gone she would send me pictures and give me updates on how he was doing.
