About: *UPDATE*- I am home from college so I am available around South Jersey! I have been taking care of pets my whole life. I currently have 6 cats, a senior dog and a fish named Pedro, after the infamous Pedro Pascal. I’ve dealt with animals healthy and disabled, I’ve also dealt with animals of all sizes including horses! I rode horses for 14 years of my life and I’ve dealt with animals as small as a fish. For $15 extra I can do a professional photography photo shoot with the pets and include 5 digital photos and 1 complimentary 8x10 print 😊 I am currently a Junior at Stevenson University, so the pets I sit need to be okay with being let alone for a couple of hours while I attend classes. I also work part-time as a student film worker at my university's equipment room, and that's about ten hours a week. I care for pets very cautiously. I love all animals and want to make sure all pets are happy and safe within the environment I create.

“Wow was I super happy with Jenny! Super communicative and she helped out in my last minute emergency! Had to leave for JFK, and the night before leaving found out there are no Wag walkers so quickly got on Rover...found Jenny and Kathleen! Jenny loved my boys and took good care of them and even talked with our maintenance guy at Summerhill in Doylestown. So happy with her, she’s def rated five star, and the boys are always well behaved with new walkers. Nightly recommend Rover and Jenny...I’m so happy she could take care of Herk and Sam in an emergency. Thanks Jenny!!! Martha Herk and Sam”

About: Animals have been my whole life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always the one taking care of our pets, and I’ve had dogs, cats, and all kinds of other animals over the years. Even a squirrel! I’ve also spent years pet sitting and dog walking for friends, family & collègues. Whenever someone needs help with their pets, I am usually the first person they call. I genuinely enjoy getting to know animals and their different personalities! I’ve always been involved in helping animals however I can. Back when I was in school, I organized donation drives for local shelters and volunteered my time there. I also help build shelters for stray cats in the winter for a few consecutive years now! Working with animals has always been a dream of mine. If you’re looking for someone who will love your pets and care for them like they’re family, I’d love to help! P.S. I am more than willing to care for any other types of animals! Turtles, birds, rabbits, lizards and hey even a squirrel! As long as all of the proper personal care information is relayed to me in advance :) I currently work part time, which gives me plenty of flexibility for pet sitting, drop in visits, and walks. Outside of work, my schedule is very open! I care for pets in their own homes by sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine. I know being away from their owners can be stressful, so I make sure they feel comfortable and safe while you’re gone. I also make sure owners stay updated with messages and photos so they can have peace of mind knowing their pets are doing well!
About: I have experience with cats with health issues and giving medications. My 18 yr old has CKD and a few other issues he gets supplements for that keep him going. I have volunteered with cats at an animal shelter and helped with dog adoption events as a dog handler. My schedule is very open at the moment so I'm available for whatever is needed. I have 3 cats so I do need to be home several times a day to care for them. My cats are indoor only but I take my 18 year old out on a leash on walks around the yard, but he mostly prefers to be carried. I'm happy to take other cats on walks if they are harness trained, or just play with them indoors. Dogs I will walk of course and play with as needed.

About: I grew up surrounded by pets, and taking care of them was always part of my daily life. From feeding and walking dogs to playing with them and making sure they were cared for, I’ve always enjoyed being around animals and keeping them happy and active. Pet care fits easily into my routine because I am currently on summer break and have a flexible schedule. I enjoy staying active and love making time for walks and drop and visits to keep pets happy, comfortable, and cared for. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own home by following their normal routine as closely as possible. During walks and drop a visits, I provide fresh water, feeding if needed, playtime, attention, and plenty of exercise while also keeping owners updated on how their pets are doing.
“Samantha has been an absolute lifesaver! She walks my dog Cooper once a day during the week while I’m at work, and I couldn’t ask for someone more reliable. She is always consistent and right on time, which gives me total peace of mind. What really stands out is how attentive she is—she always lets me know if anything seems off with Cooper and keeps me updated after each walk. She’s also very responsive whenever I reach out, which I really appreciate. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. I highly recommend Samantha to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable dog walker!”

About: I’m dependable, patient, and truly love animals. I understand that every pet is different, so I adapt my care to fit their needs — whether that’s extra playtime, quiet companionship, or maintaining a training routine. I have experience with puppies, seniors, and pets that need a little extra reassurance. My goal is always to make your pet feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I work full time, which means I’m best available in the evenings throughout the week and have more flexibility on weekends. I’m happy to accommodate drop-ins or walks during those times and always make sure pets get attentive, unrushed care. I communicate clearly about availability and scheduling so you know exactly what to expect. For drop-in visits, I care for pets in their own home where they feel most comfortable and secure. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding routines, medication schedules, and household guidelines. I’m respectful of your space, make sure doors and windows are secure, and always double-check that everything is safe before I leave. I keep a clean environment, refresh food and water bowls, maintain litter boxes, and monitor behavior for any changes. I also provide updates so you can feel confident your pet and home are in good hands.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Sweetwater. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sweetwater. On Rover:
- 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
