“Jewel did a wonderful job stepping in with little preparation when my friend couldn’t stay with my pups while I was away. After a video meet and greet, Jewel came and figured out my pups complicated routines. She messaged when she had questions or concerns. Her co-sitter, Scout, was good with my dogs and extra careful with my elderly blind guy. My old guy, PV, wasn’t eating and we figured out that he had been missing his heart medication as well as his pain medication! As soon as his medication was straightened out, he was back chowing down. He fell in love with Jewel, leaning on her for pets — which he never does! Pearl, the diva head of the household, fell for Jewel right off and followed her around and slept with her and Scout. Not only did Jewel take great care of the pups, walking them daily and brushing them, she kept up the house so it was neat when I returned, took out the garbage, got the mail, and did poop scooping in the back yard as well as watering the plants! I will certainly have Jewel stay with my dogs again when I travel. If you have pets you love that may have complicated medication schedules, Jewel can manage and I highly recommend her.”

About: Hey! I'm Lorin, and you'll meet Aero and Vega too of you board with us! I started Rover as a way to get my puppies some outside interaction with new pets and people. I got them RIGHT when Corona started, so I was looking for a way to help them socialize. We've stuck with it, and now my babies are great babysitters. For all kinds of critters! My schedule is usually pretty flexible. I work generally 2 or 3 days a week as a bartender. So most of my days can be finagled. I have a fenced yard and a dog door, a spare room if a critter needs space, and animals have free roam over the house...and the furniture. I love all and will care for all the critters. I bartend a couple nights a week, but can still work out a schedule if you message me. I super appreciate schedules and rules for your critters, the more detailed the easier it is for me. Boarding at my house needs to be talked about as I do have a fence, but there are farm animals and places where a dog may escape.

“Lyz was absolutely fantastic! She watched our two dogs, Molly and Wyatt, for 8 days and went above and beyond in every way. Communication was great—she sent regular photo updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We have a large, energetic 1-year-old shepherd who’s still very much in his puppy phase, and Molly, our 4-year-old, tends to be a bit skittish with new people. Lyz was incredibly patient, and Molly warmed up to her beautifully. She stayed in our home and treated it with the utmost care—we came back to everything exactly as we left it. It truly felt like she cared for both our pets and our home as if they were her own. I would highly recommend Lyz to anyone looking for a reliable, respectful, and caring sitter. About: I have owned dogs and cats all my life. There has never been a time I haven't had an animal living with me. Until now... I’m retired and get my dog fix from dog-sitting. I believe that there is no greater love than the love from a pet. I started dog sitting when I was between teaching jobs. I have retired from teaching elementary art. I live with my bf on about 1/4 acre. Fenced yard and security cameras. We are master gardeners and have about 1000 square feet of organic garden. We are Urban farmers ... dogs really enjoy running around our yard. I love to walk dogs and play with them in yard. We would love to share our home with your pets.

About: From working with shelters, to personal care with pets since I was a child, animal care has always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with three cattle dogs, which inspired me to get my own little guy, Sockeye! Unfortunately sockeye and I got hit with a series of unfortunate situations on the street or in dog parks, where he was attacked, ending up with him being reactive. Through our reactivity training, I’ve learned a lot about dog behavior, body language, training tactics, relationship building, etc, as well as how fulfilling training and being around animals really is to me. I am more than happy to incorporate training into walks or home visits (if wanted of course). I am open to care for all kinds of dogs, but specifically would love to walk any reactive dogs or working breeds. I currently have a fully free schedule after moving to Arizona, and am available for walks or check-ins mornings and evenings both weekday and weekends. I have no issue with extreme weather conditions, and no conditionals for breeds, size, or age. I have done rover, helped my friends and families animals in and out of their homes. My approach to clients homes, animals, and routines all starts with respect and patience. Clean their paws after a walk? Got it! Make sure they’re crated and calm? Sounds good. Give a little extra love and treats? Happy to!!
