Brakes can both be a little particular and tend to hide (as cats can do sometimes), but Myranda clearly took the time to get to know them, and it really showed. She gave them so much love and attention, and it was obvious they felt safe and happy with her. We loved getting all the updates and photos—it really meant a lot to see them so content while we were away. We came home to two very well-cared-for and chatty cats and a tidy home. The litterbox was changed often and there were no messes for me to clean up upon my return. About: I have always been an animal lover but I really started getting into taking care of animals in high school. My first job was at Country Friends Vet Clinic. During that time I got my CVA 1 certification(certified veterinary assistant) and I ended up working for them until I graduated high school(an amazing 2 1/2 years!). During my high school years I adopted two cockatiels named Ollie and Speckles. They became my bestest little friends. It was then that I realized I loved taking care of pets. My senior year of high school I also ended up adopting a Leopard Gecko I named Hikari! She loves watching top gun😂. I then moved out to college and got my Bachelor’s Degree while working as an Operating Room technician at Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital. I also recently(Nov. 2024) earned my RECOVER Basic Life Support Certification. It was in college that I got my first pup, Atreides. She was my soul dog and I loved her to bits. Three years later I adopted my Belgian Malinos, Azula, to give her a friend. I also found out that I love training dogs and so I spend most of my free time seeing what crazy things I can teach my pups! After Atreides passed, I adopted another German Shepherd in honor of her, a puppy named Ashoka. She is my little shadow and always makes sure I’m taken care of. All of this is to say I have tons of experience with high energy pups and I don’t forget the small animals! I am a full time college student so during the school year I might have a little more limited of a schedule but if I’m free I’ll definitely be able to swing by to check on your fur babies! I will also have more time on weekends to care for your pets. I am a big fan of always having something stimulating for your pet to do! Whether that is playing with toys, doing enrichment toys, or training basic obedience I like to make sure I am doing something exciting with your pet! With all that play I always remember to provide water in this Texas heat. While taking care of your fur babies I will feed, walk, play and clean up after them so you don’t have to worry when you are away! I also love exotics!(I have two cockatiels and a leopard gecko)

About: I’ve been trusted with watching the dogs of family and friends. I’ve walked and stayed with dogs, ages ranging from 6 months to 7 years old. I also was a Foster mom for the Humane Society for a year! I currently have a full time job, but have a 1 hour break where I can check on pets during the day! I’m good for early morning walks, noon, and for afternoon walks. I am raising a spoiled fur baby myself, so I know how hard it is to trust your pet with someone else! Not all dogs are the same, so lay down the rules and I will definitely follow through!

About: I've had a dog in my life since I was three. They were my responsibility to take care of as a child and I loved it. My lab/Weimaraner, Emma, passed away in 2021 after 12.5 years. She was my whole world. This is why I started doing Rover so I could fill my heart back up with dog love because I wasn’t quite ready for a new dog of my own. Emma was very sick in the end with a bad infection in her spine that made it difficult for her to get around and be comfortable. Many of my friends said they wished someone would take care of them the way I took care of her because my life revolved around her comfort and schedule. I administered medicine and cooked a variety of food for her each meal when she stopped eating her kibble. I even carried her up the stairs! I would do anything for her and I would do anything for your dog if it made them comfortable while in my care. I will never put your dog in a crate unless you ask, they like it, or they aren't potty trained. After Emma passed it took me two years to get another puppy because I was so heartbroken. Two years ago, I got Norah, an English springer spaniel. She’s 2, and is the happiest and sweetest girl. She’s very playful and loves other dogs chasing her in our fenced in dog area that’s right in front of my apartment. I’m sure they’ll be fast friends if your dog is friendly. I'm currently working on a hybrid work schedule with 2 days at home 3 days in the office. I can watch dogs or do drop ins on the days I am home. If you don’t mind your dog staying on the days that I’m in the office, we can talk about boarding. I'm home on the weekends. . I like for dogs to be free to roam around my house unless you've requested that they stay in a crate. They're welcome on my couch or bed if that's what they're used to. I live on the second floor with an outdoor patio that they can sunbathe during the day. Outside, the dog will always be leashed for walks. We have a large dog park area right outside my door, which allows them to run off-leash in a fenced-in area. I also have a walking trail behind the complex that I like to go out for walks. I will not take your dog to a public dog park for safety reasons. I don’t even take my own. I will also add that I'm home more than I'm not. I live a quiet life without a lot of excitement or guests.
