“Jessica was amazing with our fur baby! She sent us photos and constant updates. Our little Leia came home happy and tired after a day full of play. Thank you Jessica for taking such good care of her. We will definitely use your services again.”

About: We love our dog but we aren’t crazy dog people. Our home is clean. We have a friendly husky and a large fenced yard. We don’t leave for longer than 2 hours when we have a dog over and generally take 1 guest dog at a time. We work from home and only watch when we can be here every 2 hours. We don’t go out for more than 2 hours with a dog staying. I have a big fenced yard and a friendly husky that will keep your pet entertained. We also have a great dog walking neighborhood and path.
“As usual Levi had a great time with Jessica. He was tired and ready for bed when we came home which was perfect since it was late. Jessica was very accommodating to us running behind schedule due to traffic.”

“Lupe was amazing from the initial conversation online to meeting in person. I could feel that our dog was in safe and reliable hands and he took such good care of him and got the best photos. Can’t wait to use him again!”

“Katie was amazing!!! She was on time and communicative the whole way. Even though it was cold outside she bundled up my baby and took her out for walks. Definitely re-booking with Katie!”

“Armani had a great time during his sit as he came back energetic and super playful! They also provided constant updates which I absolutely loved. They definitely took care of my puppy, so I highly recommend!”

About: Hi, we are Ramon and Margarita. We have been dog parents for many years and will care for your fur baby like our own as they will immediately be part of our family. We have also been foster dog parents and have successfully transitioned countless fur babies in need to their forever homes. If you are new to Rover, use our code MARGAG38540, to get $20 OFF your first booking. We both work from home so we will be with your pet 24/7. We will provide your fur baby with a warm, comfortable and friendly home. We have a super friendly ‘foster fail’ lab that’s 4 years old. Ruby is taken out for her walks to the park 3x a day and will add your pet to this regimen if they enjoy the outdoors and being active.
“Jaclynn was great! It’s always nerve wracking bringing your high energy, loud, dog to someone’s house for the first time! But, Jaclynn made us feel very comfortable! We love how she has an instagram page dedicated to watching pets so we can see cute videos and pictures throughout the day! We will be using Jaclynn’s services in the future!”

About: I have been pet foster parent since 2018, in this time I have been able to care for around 30 pets. Some come with special challenges but have thoroughly enjoyed and fallen in love with every one of them. Goodbyes have been tough, they have gone on to loving home and thrived. I am thankful to be a small part of their journey! I am currently on work break, which gives me plenty of time to play, take long walks, and give your pet the attentive, dedicated care they deserve. I live in a townhouse with a large living / dining room and if needed can create a separate area for the pet's comfort. I have access to a large non-fenced backyard and long walking paths.
“Isbath was really attentive and careful in screening to make sure my puppy would be a good fit for her care. He loved playing with her dogs and he didn’t even want to leave upon pick up. Would recommend anyone looking for daycare.”

“Debbie sent pictures and all I saw were 2 small dogs who did not miss their human Mom. There was play time (smiles and action), down time (cuddling and relaxing). I was always under the impression they sat in a corner and missed me with all their tiny hearts, but no - Debbie had them going the whole time! One fell asleep on the drive home due to the days action, the other needed every minute of tthe days action! Her property is amazing! Gorgeous setting only maybe two or three miles from downtown Bernardsville. So much safe space to run and play in. Exploring is at the top of Louie's requirements and he had a whole acre of fenced in yard to get all his Terrier on! Thanks so much Debbie! WE WILL BE BACK!!!!”

“Kumud is an incredible dog sitter. She’s gone above and beyond to ensure that our high energy pup is cared for, exercised, and comfortable. Her yard is the ultimate playground and she always makes sure the dogs are playing nicely together. Her dog, Kai, is sweet and playful and welcomes others in. Kumud’s family is really sweet and I trust that Zoe is safe in their care. I highly recommend Kumud’s services.”

About: What sets my sister and me apart is the personal care and communication we provide. We understand that every pet has their own personality, habits, and needs, so we carefully follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, exercise, medications, sleeping arrangements, and any special preferences. We have a spacious yard for supervised outdoor time and aim to create a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets can feel at home while their family is away. We treat every pet as if they were part of our own family and give them individualized attention. We also know how important peace of mind is for pet parents. During every stay, we provide regular photos and videos and keep communication open so you can see how your pet is doing. Our goal is for both you and your pet to feel comfortable, confident, and stress-free from drop-off to pickup. My sister and I work together to provide reliable and attentive care for every pet we welcome. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to be present throughout the day for walks, meals, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of affection. My sister also helps with pet care, so between the two of us, pets receive lots of attention and companionship. We make pet care a natural part of our daily routine and always try to keep each pet as close to their normal schedule as possible. Whether your pet loves long walks, backyard playtime, cuddles, or simply relaxing nearby, we make sure they feel comfortable, included, and cared for. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow your pet's routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medication (if needed), exercise, and any special instructions. I keep a clean, pet-friendly environment, supervise pets at all times, and provide regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I take the time to build trust with each pet, allowing them to adjust at their own pace and using positive reinforcement to help them feel safe and comfortable.
“Erika was very responsive and flexible. She took good care of Peppercorn and kept us updated by the app with detailed updates and tracking of his drinking/eating/toileting schedule. She was very flexible with allowing us to change hours / dates when our schedule changed. Would recommend Erika!”

About: Thank you for visiting my page! I’m a lifelong animal lover and a proud Rover Star Sitter. As a dog parent myself, I understand how important safety and trust are — they are always my top priority. Your dog will receive lots of attention, affection, and care while staying with me. I enjoy spending time with dogs, going for walks, playing, and simply making them feel comfortable and relaxed. I always try to follow each dog’s personality and routine so they feel safe and happy while their family is away. I also love sharing photo updates so you can see how your pup is doing. Sometimes, just for fun, I practice little games or simple commands with dogs and take cute photos of them during their stay — you can see some examples on my profile. I’m currently a full-time mom, which gives me the flexibility to give dogs plenty of attention during the day. Our home is calm, safe, and full of love for animals. Your dog will be treated like family here. Looking forward to meeting you and your pup! My kids bring endless energy and love for ball games, ensuring the dogs are always entertained, active, happy, playful, and never bored during their stay! I’m always home to carefully watch your dog, providing cozy beds, toys and balls for their comfort and fun. For safety, I can crate your dog if needed. I offer personalized care, follow routines and prioritize their happiness.
About: I have lots of experience with dogs and absolutely love spending time with them — playing, teaching tricks, and taking them on walks. I grew up around dogs and have a real passion for it! I only take one dog at a time, so your pup gets my full attention and focus throughout the stay. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I can walk your dog in the early morning, during lunch, and in the late afternoon/evening — basically as needed throughout the day. I live in a house with my sweet two-year-old daughter, who is gentle and great with animals (no grabbing or rough play!). Because of this, I’m looking to care for friendly, calm dogs who are comfortable around kids. If your pup fits that description, I’d love to give them a fun, attentive stay full of walks, play, and maybe even a new trick or two!
About: We are the Doodle experts!!! Whether you have a Labradoodle, Goldendoodle, Bernedoodle or another type of Doodle my wife and I will treat your pup as if it were our own. We have a real passion for the Doodle breeds and can provide your pup with the high level of care it deserves. Currently we are the parents of a wonderful labradoodle named Rocky, who is the most gentle and loving dog on the planet and he will welcome your precious pup with open paws. We are extremely attentive and will take your pup on walks, play with your pup and make sure your doodle is having a great time while you are away. Can’t wait to meet your pup! We work from home so pet care is fully integrated into our daily routine. We are able to take your pup out for potty breaks as much as needed and are always available for your pup. We have a fully fenced backyard for supervised playtime and we will take your pup for a minimum of three 30 minute walks per day as we enjoy walking.

“Ekaterina and her family did such an amazing job with my very shy, reserved labradoodle. He spent the entire day at their home and upon pickup, he was calm, content and happy. I highly recommend Ekaterina and we look forward to using her again!”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
