“Aimee did an incredible job taking care of my dog! From the meet-and-greet we knew it would be a great match, but she sent lots of photos and gave my dog so much love I didn’t worry for a second while I was on vacation for a week. I’m looking forward to my next trip so my dog can go back and see Aimee and her family again!”

“Great couple to watch our pup. We wanted someone with a fenced in yard and other dogs to help socialize and tire our pup out and that’s exactly what we got. Our girl was happy to come back after the initial meet and greet and happy to book with them in the future.”

“Thank you so much! You were great!! Louis seemed great when we picked him up, so that’s all I cared about (: I was updated a lot with pictures and had great communication! I will rebook again (: (: (:”

“Kelly and her family were absolutely wonderful with my sweet Myka. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing that my pup was being loved in her home as much as we love her in ours. “Jacks had a great time with his Rover family. He was well taken care of! They sent me daily photos and videos of Jacks. I highly recommend Nathan and Jenna they are great!”

“We are very grateful to Saraís, a very kind girl, who took care of our beloved dog Todd for 1 week in her house. She picked him up and droped him off to our house as well. She always kept us in touch with our dog and sent us pictures of him. We are pretty sure that Todd had a great time at Saraís's house. Woof woof! ??”
“My senior pup just got home from a wonderful weekend with Patti! He had the best care and we received regular updates and photos. My dog has vision issues among other senior ailments and needs medication at meals. Patti was so patient and helped him navigate the new space, always making sure he was safe. We felt so comfortable with Igor in Patti’s care and look forward to him visiting her again!”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care my Bernedoodle, Sydney, received while staying with David and his family during our week-long vacation. From our initial meeting, it was clear that David genuinely loves dogs and takes his responsibility as a pet sitter seriously. He carefully ensures that the dogs in his care are a good match in temperament, creating a comfortable and safe environment for everyone. Throughout Sydney’s stay, David kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me tremendous peace of mind while we were away. Knowing Sydney was happy, comfortable, and well cared for made it easy to relax and enjoy our vacation. I highly recommend David and would happily book with him again in the future.”

“Kelly was wonderful and I highly recommend her. She is very professional and responsive. This was my first time using Rover and Kelly allowed me to do a meet and greet with my schnoodle before booking. I could see that she genuinely cares for animals and she answered my many questions and put my mind at ease. I will definitely board with her again.”

About: I’ve had three dogs of my own over the years, so I know firsthand that dogs aren’t just pets—they’re family. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality, whether they’re energetic and playful, cuddly and calm, or a little shy at first. When your dog is in my care, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, loved, and right at home. I’m attentive to their routines, love giving plenty of playtime and affection, and will treat your pup with the same care I would give my own. You can feel confident knowing your dog is getting both loving attention and dependable care while you’re away. Would love if dog(s) are getting treated regularly for fleas/ticks especially if coming into my home. I currently stay at home all day during the week so I would be able to give full attention to your pets needs. If they’re staying over the weekend I would accommodate my plans to be home while they’re in my care. Your pet(s) would have free range in my first floor apartment townhouse. There is a communal dog park that is walking distance I would take them to only if no one else was there. We have a private community that I would take them on walks throughout the day.

“As a very anxious dog mama, I was so skeptical to use a sitter. Matt went above and beyond, sending updates, pictures, responding quickly, and making sure my pup was comfortable and well taken care of! My pup can’t wait for another stay with get favorite sitter ◡̈”

“Sarah was very thorough with details and understanding of our our elderly dog's needs. She was flexible and communicated well. Thanks for loving on our sweetie!”

“Kate is wonderful! Easy to work with as far as drop of and pick up. Sends lots of updates and photos. She understands some dog psychology so knows when your dog is uncomfortable or nervous. Her dogs are great and you can tell it’s a calm happy household.”

“Marcie & family excepted my request on short notice. She sent pics. She went above and beyond for me and my pup. Her family treated him like one of their own. And for that, I would recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much!!!”

“From the moment I met Barbara I knew my pet would be safe with her. Skai took to her right away. Her home was peaceful and welcoming. Barbara kept me updated- assuring me our dog was doing well. I will definitely use her services again.”

96% of sitters in Sterling can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Sterling.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
