“Allison was absolutely amazing with Charlie and I am so grateful/happy I found her! She sent updates and pictures which helps when you are missing your favorite furbaby. Really grateful experience and so relieved I found Charlie’s second home when I have to travel.”

“Kim and Steve are the sweetest and most wonderful people. We moved here from Minnesota and don't know anyone. When I found Kim on Rover, it has been a relief knowing we have great people to watch our sweet Lexi Lou. If anyone is looking for someone who cares about your pet as much as you do these are definitely the people you are looking for. We love you guys! ”

About: I have been passionately caring for dogs for 15 years. As a lifelong animal lover, I have always had pups in my own home, giving me a deep understanding of their needs. Over the years, I've been the go-to pet sitter for my friends, family, and neighbors. Whether it's daily walks, feeding routines, or overnight house sitting, my loved ones have always relied on me to treat their fur babies like my own. I am also able to take care of senior dogs if needed, I am very skilled in that by giving medication on time and making sure they are well taken care of since they do need a little more love because of their age. I'm excited to bring that same dedicated, high-quality care to your pup! Pet care fits seamlessly into my routine because my schedule is highly flexible, allowing me to be home and present throughout the day. I am fully available Monday through Friday to provide frequent potty breaks, outdoor playtime, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I also have open weekend availability, ensuring your pup receives consistent care, structured routines, and extra love seven days a week! Whether I am house sitting in your home or hosting your fur baby in mine, your pet's safety and happiness comes first. My home features a secure, fenced backyard and a fun pool for outdoor play. I have friendly dogs who make excellent playmates, but I am also fully prepared to crate separate pups as needed to ensure everyone feels secure and stress-free. I am highly adaptable and happy to stick strictly to your routine!
About: I will give them the time and attention that they deserve, and if there's any types of training or exercises that need to be done I am willing to learn. My schedule is opened up quite a bit so I'm just doing some doordashing on the side so I'm more than available and capable of spending time with your fur babies. And giving Then the time and attention that they need. I'm also up for meeting beforehand if you need. You just give me all of the requirements of what your fur baby needs and wants are and I will follow any boundaries set for your place or mine.
About: I have grown up around animals specifically dogs my whole life. I am now a college student and am unable to bring my own dog to college with me so this is a way I can still be around animals. However, I would be happy to come to your home to care for your pet in any way you would like.

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I truly enjoy. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, breeds, and ages. What sets me apart is that I provide a loving family environment where dogs are treated like members of the family. My home is full of attention, affection, playtime, and companionship. I understand that every dog has unique needs, and we take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I am comfortable following feeding schedules, administering most basic medications, caring for senior dogs, and helping reinforce routines and good behaviors. My two kids also love dogs and enjoy giving them extra attention and playtime, helping create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for every furry guest. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your dog is being cared for in a safe, loving home where they will receive plenty of attention and affection. 🐾 I am currently in nursing school only 2 days a week and my husband works for a healthcare company from home so someone will always be there for your pup. I treat animals as if they are my own children. I will keep them safe and satisfied while you are away so you can have a peace of mind wherever you go.
“Sable had another wonderful, exciting, yet relaxing time with Jason, Brooke, their entire family, and their dog Toby. Thank you, Rover.com, and a special thanks to Jason and Brooke for your loving care of Sable. God bless you all!”

“Desiree was not only very quick to respond and I mean like 2 minutes she was accommodating, flexible, and confident. She took in my two dogs last minute for a whole day. She was awesome at introductions to her animals I felt comfortable in every way leaving them with her and next time I travel will be leaving them with her again no question.”

About: With your pets permission, they will be loved on. Pets in my care will be treated like family. I have been around pets of all kinds my whole life and have pet sat for over 5 years! The only days of the week where I’m out for more than 3 hours is Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am at home otherwise, the more time I have with your pet, the better! I do have two cats, so they will likely be separated from your pets in a boarding situation, but I live next to a dog park so it is easily accessible for pups. I have many cat toys and treat varieties as well.
“Cheyenne took wonderful care of our Jax. He had a blast playing with her dogs and made a new friend, Romero. Her kids took to him right away. As labs do, he got muddy and she went over and above by bathing him. She sent frequent pics and videos of him playing. We will definitely use her again if we are in the area again.”

We have a fenced in backyard with plenty of space for them to run and we also have two dogs of our own to keep them company!
About: I’ve taken care of animals for many years now. My parents are Rover sitters and we have taken care of several different dogs. I have been exposed to all different breeds and ages. Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Stanford commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
