“We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Amber! We have multiple pets, including a very fickle and sometimes difficult Newfie, and she handled everything so patiently and confidently. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our pets were being cared for by someone who truly understood them and took the time to make them comfortable. She provided frequent updates, pictures, and communication throughout the stay, which we appreciated so much. It was obvious our pets were getting lots of attention, care, and love while we were away. Coming home to happy, relaxed animals says everything. We will absolutely book again and highly recommend Amber to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and compassionate sitter — especially if you have large breeds or dogs with unique personalities!”

“Hayley is great! She's a great communicator and sends lots of pictures. We came home to a very clean house and a happy dog. This is the second time she's helped us and we will happily use her again!”

About: **About Me** Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover with a rich background in pet care. Growing up on a hobby farm, I developed a passion for animals early on, which led me to participate in 4-H with dogs and spend over 12 years working at a petting zoo with various farm animals. Now, as a registered nurse, I bring a caring and nurturing approach to everything I do. At home, I share my life with my husband, two energetic children, ages 8 and 12. Our fully fenced yard is the perfect playground for furry friends, and we’re always excited to welcome new playmates. I look forward to providing your pets with the love and attention they deserve! We have raised and trained hunting dogs in the past, but currently have no resident dogs. We do have 3 resident cats who reside indoors with us. I work part-time as a registered nurse at the hospital, where I enjoy helping others. The rest of my time is dedicated to being a mom to our two wonderful children and spending quality moments with our babysitting pets. Balancing work and family life brings me so much joy! **Our Play Area** Welcome to our pet paradise! We have a spacious, fully fenced yard featuring a grassy area perfect for running, trees to sniff, and a small lowland area that dogs love to explore. Your furry friend will have a blast here! If your dog prefers some quiet time, we’re happy to crate them for a cozy retreat. We can’t wait to make new furry friends!
“Torri took excellent care of our four legged’s. Unfortunately, one of our animals had an unexpected medical crisis. Torri swiftly acted and handled the situation with care, professionalism, and love. She definitely served as our surrogate pet parent when we were 1300 miles away. Torri also left the house clean and tidy. Her pet care and house sitting was top notch. I would highly recommend Torri. Thank you, Torri.”

“Kerian was fantastic!! Very good communication! Sent lots of photos and updates. Asked good questions! The house was clean! The pups were happy! I will definitely book her again in the future!!”

I will come to your house as needed and gladly walk, feed and play with your dog while you’re unavailable . If that is for one day or several days.. I am available to house/pet sit for longer periods of time .
“This was our first time having Tanya stay at our home to watch our dogs, and she was absolutely wonderful! She sent us great updates each day and took the best care of our pups and home. She truly cares about the well being of animals which gave us peace of mind that our dogs were in great hands while we were gone. We highly recommend her, and anyone would be lucky to have her sit for them. Thank you so much Tanya. Our dogs loved spending the long weekend with you!”

In the right circumstance i would have a dog stay in my own home.
About: I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, chickens mainly for family and friends, some neighbors. I very good with young hyper dogs considering I have a miniature Aussie. I also have a 12 senior dog who can only go on 15 min walks. I love all animals wether it’s watching/playing with them or taking them on walks! Pet care fits into my schedule cause I’m a young hairstylist who is trying to fill up her books. Being a new hairstylist isn’t easy and I want to fulfill my time well considering bills I have to pay each month I am very comfortable with animals depending if you want me to spend the night or not. I’m very flexible with coming and going or simple taking them on walks. I love to take my own dogs on walk and runs as well!
About: I have been taking care of dogs and other animals for as long as I can remember! My family bred bully breeds for most of my life and I have 3 of my own that require a lot of extra care. I am comfortable around all dogs and am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your animal. I will take care of your pets like my own❤️! I have had just about every animal you could think of as well growing up and have a snake and bearded dragon currently if you have other animals that need caring for as well. I am new to rover but have plenty of experience with caring for my parents dogs, friends of my parents dogs, and a few neighbors pets. I currently work 9-5, Tuesday-Sunday in Blaine but have some flexibility and am available in the morning and evenings and all day Sunday and Monday! I have my own French bulldog boots who is the sweetest dog and I care for her through the day and I only have a part time job a couple days a week right now so my schedule is pretty much open! I have new beds, crates and a fenced in yard if needed care at my home. I stay at both mine and my significant others house , both perfect environments for dogs or small animals. I can care for your pet in your home as well if that is what you are looking for!
“Aida was great!!! It was our first booking through Rover for our Rottie and cat. Aida’s communication was excellent even sending pictures of our guys during our time away. It was a great first experience!!!”

“Rory’s love for animals was obvious the moment he entered my home for his first meet and greet with me and Henry. Rory has a delightful personality. He is respectful annd kind, and has a fantastic sense of humor. He did a great job looking after Henry for a couple days while I was out of town. I look forward to hiring him again in the future, and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a responsible pet/housesitter.”

About: I have 2 older BIG dogs and 2 cats. Not afraid of anything that comes out of them lol. Patience and love go a long way with animals. I will walk/watch your animal with the same care and attention that I give my furbabies. I am an online Cybersecurity teacher and work from home, so I have time to stop over while you are at work. Not available after 8pm. I have a semi fenced yard, leashed walks only or hang outside with me on a tie out. We also go to the dog park by the water tower for some off leash play. I never leave them unattended as there are lots of neighbor dogs.
About: I have a senior myself, she’s 13 and she’s an Australian cattle dog mix. I have a horse I lease and his name is Booker. I’m available everyday except for Monday’s. I get out of school at 2:15 pm. On the weekends I can do over night but on the weekdays I can only stay until 10 pm My dogs old so she just stays on the couch all day. When it’s time to feed her she takes her time and stretches then she goes and eats her food
About: I have trained my own dogs to do tricks and go potty outside. I have also accidentally trained one dog to follow non verbal commands to come, back up, move out of the way. I am currently not working and have time to stay at the home and come back for potty breaks if that’s needed and to play with the dogs and get them out and about. I take the dogs out and walk them. We play and swim (they use life jackets). Pick up the potty right after they go. And with my cat I scoop her litter box daily and do a hot water and soap bath wash weekly. She cuddles and plays with me when she wants to. For all animals fresh water and food everyday and clean bowls everyday.
“Emily is a loving and responsible caregiver for our aging pup. She provides us with regular reassuring updates and lots of photos. I have 100% confidence Aspen is well cared for when we are away which is why we have booked with her multiple times.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Stacy walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Stacy maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Stacy choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Stacy. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
