Your pet will go no more than 8-hours without me being there. As someone who travels often, I know what it feels like to worry about your pet while gone. I will abide by any house rules (even if that means they can’t sleep in the bed with me), and send lots of pictures and updates to give you a sound mind while away from your pups.

I always treat others’ pets the way I hope someone would treat my pets. I leave for work around 7 and get home around 3:30, so I walk my dog around 5 in the morning and once again in the evening. Breakfast and fresh water are provided after we get back from the walk around the neighborhood, and then I feed them again once before bed. My pets always have access to clean, fresh water. I have a fairly large, fully enclosed backyard for the dogs to enjoy. During the summer, I put a small dog pool out so the pups can enjoy being outside. I try to take my dogs for at least one walk a day; however, one of them has hip dysplasia so she’s not always into the idea of exercise. That said, because of her hip dysplasia, I have experience providing injections, so it’s no issue if your dog needs certain medication administered. I fully respect the rules pet owners have in place for their pets, and will do my best to keep it consistent while they are in my care. I do allow dogs on my furniture and bed, but if you do not, then I can enforce it while he/she stays with me so your pup doesn’t learn bad habits.

“I can’t say enough great things about Lily Meyer! She took care of my bulldog, Brisket, over the weekend while I was away on a short trip, and honestly, I don’t think Brisket wanted her to leave! From the moment she met him, Lily was warm, attentive, and totally in tune with his personality. Brisket is usually a little stubborn (as bulldogs tend to be), but he took to Lily right away—tail wiggles, snorts, the whole nine yards. What really impressed me was how much care she put into not just meeting his needs, but going above and beyond. She sent me regular updates and photos, which gave me total peace of mind. And the best part? She actually taught Brisket a couple new tricks while I was gone! He now knows how to give a high-five and spin in a slow little circle—something I’d tried for months with no luck. Lily clearly has a gift with animals and a ton of patience. When I got back, Brisket was happy, healthy, and clearly had a great time.
