“Samantha is absolutely incredible! She recently watched our four pets (two dogs and two cats) and provided the absolute best care we could have asked for. Right from the start, her attention and care stood out. On the very first day, our dogs had a couple of accidents, and Samantha handled the pee and poop cleanup immediately and communicated with me. Our cat Jasmine was feeling quite shy and hid for the first day, but Samantha took the time to look for her and coax her out of her hiding spot. After which, we received frequent pictures of our sweet girl. Overall, we received lots of updates and pictures during every single visit, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. We are so grateful to have found Samantha and cannot recommend her highly enough for anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, I also had a dog (Ebony) for 11 years. My grandfather has multiple dogs and cats living with him at any given time, he likes to take in strays, and I help with them too. When I pet sit I enjoy seeing their different personalities. Some are calmer than others and more laid back while others love to run free. I love to take them on walks, and see the different things that cause them to pause and look. Some animals want to stop at everything they see but some are on a very specific mission. 😂 I have experience giving animals medication, and also dealing with animals that have trust issues. I have a calm presence that causes even the most guarded animals to open up. I will make sure your animals are well taken care of and enjoy their time. I want to create a space of joy and peace for every animal I meet, because they deserve nothing less. I currently have an open schedule so I’m available anytime. I plan on starting a certification soon so my availability may change just a little but I’ll always prioritize my client’s pets. Each animal knows their home/routine the best, so I plan on working around them and helping any way I can while keeping their environment/routine unchanged.

About: I have grown up in a house that always had animals in it, especially dogs and cats. I have a few clients that I have been watching houses for— for years, I believe in making connections with your clients pets so there is no worry or stress between the pet parent and pet! I have lots of open free time as I am a freelance artist that works from home! So, in other words, I have my availability mostly open just need to have time to schedule I would be more comfortable in house sitting than boarding animals but for my own pets they are always inside, free roaming, only going outside when the dogs need to go potty!

About: I have worked as a pet bather during winter break during my time in undergrad, and I truly loved being able to work with different breeds and sizes of dogs. For personal experience, dogs have always been a big part of my life since I was born! I didn’t grasp the concept of what it’s like to actually care for a dog until I was in elementary school but since then I’ve always cared for every dog I’ve had and every dog my family member has had. About: I grew up taking care of puppies and rescues with my mom, and then moved into helping at a shelter while I was in college. As a grad student and current renter, I can’t have pets of my own so am glad to have the chance to get some cuddles in with yours. I'm happy to work with dogs of all ages and sizes and follow direction well if you are working with any training techniques. I have a soft spot for older dogs in particular and am also happy to look after any plants. I currently attend KU as a grad student where I teach two days a week and am focused on finishing my thesis this semester. I have a fairly flexible schedule and so can maintain a consistent routine for most pets while you’re gone. I’ve traveled a lot and been fortunate to be a guest in many people’s home. I pride myself on being respectful and leaving a house at least as good as I found it. I also try to prioritize pet comfort since I'm a guest in their home too. I try to let them lead interactions so they have a chance to warm up on their own level. I'm also happy to respect household rules and uphold the boundaries the pets are used to (ie., if they're not allowed on certain furniture). If you have any plants that need care while you're away, I love leaning into my green thumb too.
