About: What sets me apart... 1. I bring the full pet parent experience... ... I've spent years caring for animals of all ages and energy levels—from spunky puppies to senior sweethearts with soulful eyes and slower strides. 2. I’ve been a foster mom, matchmaker, and canine translator... ... Many of the dogs I fostered found their forever homes within 48 hours. That experience taught me how to read dog body language, adapt quickly, and provide calm, confident care, no matter the dog’s temperament or background. 2. I don’t take chances with safety... ... Even the best-trained pups can get curious or spooked. That’s why I always use an AirTag when a dog is in my care. Just a little added peace of mind for us both. And, if you'd like... I would be more than happy to share our location with you too! 3. My old dog (whose name is apparently a Rover security risk) taught me everything I know... ... These days, I travel too much for a pup of my own, but I’ve still got all that dog parent energy, and nowhere to put it... except into caring for yours. 4. I’m up with the sun (and also cool with twilight strolls)... ... Whether you need a one night stay or a longer stretch of house sitting, I’m flexible, reliable, and happy to keep your routines rolling. 5. Sometimes, there’s bonus help... ... Depending on his schedule, my partner (a longtime shelter volunteer) may be able to join me. He’s calm, gentle, and no joke, every cat so far has liked him more than me. Think of it as bonus ear scratches and nose boops. But your comfort comes first... just let me know your preference. ***I am currently welcoming new clients through Rover in addition to the longtime private clients I’m lucky to work with. While I’m based in the Northeast Kingdom this summer, I’ve set my profile to Morristown to help broaden my booking radius. I regularly care for pets in the Waterbury/Stowe area and often travel to Charlotte, Jericho, and the Mad River Valley to support families I’ve built trusted relationships with.*** Here’s to belly rubs, tail wags, and all the joy our four-legged companions bring. I can’t wait to meet yours. I am working towards making animal care (dog/cat sitting and walking) my full time job... hence I have a flexible schedule and am available to care for your animals... be it on short notice or for extended periods. As a sincere pet lover with years of experience, you can trust that your four-legged ones will be in safe, capable, and loving hands. As a former innkeeper and park ranger, I bring a commitment to care and responsibility to every dog/kitty-sitting experience. I understand and appreciate how important your animal's routine is and will honor it to keep them feeling secure and happy while you’re away. I believe in the "leave no trace" philosophy, so when you return, the only sign of my visit will be a content, well cared for furry friend. Just as I took pride in leaving each space better than I found it in my previous roles, I’ll treat your home with the same respect and attention to detail. You can trust that your doggo/kitty's safety, comfort, and daily routine are my top priorities

About: I've had pets of all ages for my entire life—cats and dogs as well as birds, fish, bunnies, rats... I am a huge animal lover—and it has a lot to do with my upbringing <3 My mom was the kind of person who would never kill a spider and instead gently scoop it up with a piece of paper and shuttle it outside to safety. I was lucky enough to grow up right on the ocean in Nova Scotia, surrounded on the other 3 sides by woods. So much wildlife! One time my mom found an injured Great Blue Heron in our yard, and somehow got it into our car and drove it to the vet, even though it pecked at her from the back seat the whole time lol! (The vet was able to mend its broken leg and release it back into the wild!) All this to say, looking after animals has always been a huge part of my life. I am often the person my friends contact when they need a pet-sitter while they go on vacation. I'm reliable, communicative, and intuitive. I'm always happy to administer medications (having done this for many of my own pets in their later years), follow specific diets and feeding schedules, go for walks, give extra cuddles (or less cuddles), whatever makes the animal and their human comfortable! I'm also happy to water your plants while you're gone, bring in your mail, refill the bird feeder, whatever you need within reason! I'm currently working from home building my coaching business, so I'm very flexible! I can work from anywhere since I do most of my coaching online, and I can set my own hours around your pet's needs. I will treat your fur-babies with as much care and tenderness as I treat my own. Every animal has their own distinct personality and routine, and I'm extremely respectful of each animal's individual needs. I'm constantly aware of how special this pet is to someone. There's a feeling of reverence—we are so lucky to have these amazing creatures in our lives <3

About: I grew up with litters of German Shepherd puppies which sparked my lifelong love of animals. As adult, I raised and bred Labrador Retrievers. I now share my home with five cats, two Labs and six chickens. I'm also a proud grandparent to two wonderful grandchildren. Retired and living in Vermont. I'm recently retired and spending my time doing what I love most. Beling arond animals. I enjoy going on walks, playing and simply keeping pets company. If you ever need a little help with your furry friend whether it's a walk, some playtime, or just a visit while you're out. I can take them to the dog parks or to the waling paths.

About: I've been taking care of pets (cats, dogs, and rabbits) my entire life. One of my career highlights was working at the Philadelphia Zoo. Granted, I was working as a puppeteer, but I love being around animals every day. I currently have two beloved cats of my own, and I'm excited to meet your pets! I'm also a freelance puppeteer and writer - so when I'm between projects I have a very flexible schedule and will be happy to take care of your pets! I pride myself on being good with animals, love winning them over, and am a very empathic person. While I love a friendly creature, I'm also good at giving animals space if they're shy around new people, etc.

Maria did an excellent job with our pup Mango (a large male golden retriever), who was at that tough adolescent stage when she started working with him. Mango has noise anxiety, is still developing leash walking skills and lacks confidence when other dogs are around. She regularly walked him several times a week and it went so well. Maria developed a relationship with Mango and explored various options to see what would work best with him. She was able to get him engaged in activities that pushed his boundaries in positive ways, fostering growth and additional confidence. She integrated her own pup in walking to give Mango a positive model to follow when he felt nervous. By the end, Maria had Mango making successful trips to the dog park and exploring new trails and that would not have been possible without her caring efforts. Maria was extremely professional, reliable and a pleasure to engage with. I would highly recommend her.

About: Since as early as I can remember I have grown up with dogs, and other animals. I have experience in caring for dogs, cats, horses, and some exotic animals as well (small and large animals). I am always ready for a challenge and love spending time with any dog! I have experience in a variety of dog training areas including hunting dogs and service dogs. I am also a pre-veterinary student with basic animal care knowledge! I have worked with a variety of breeds ranging from retrievers and pointers to terriers and toy-breeds. I love working with dogs of all ages and am capable of caring for newborn puppies and your older furry friends! I also have over nine years of house-sitting and pet-sitting experience. Caring for pets is one of my passions so it is easy to make it a part of my daily routine, even while I'm working! Please note, I do work full-time and as such my week-day schedule is typically limited but I am happy to discuss specific options. When caring for your pets they become like my own. I supervise outside time, even if there is a fence and always keep them close!

About: Hi! I’ve been pet sitting and had my own dog for many years. Now, I have experience from drop-in visits to extended overnight stays, with many different types of needs. I’m dedicated to caring for a pet the same way their owner would and look forward to spending time with animals. I work from home most days and can accommodate a flexible potty schedule and activity level. I enjoy taking breaks to spend with pets, to get outside or tuck in on the sofa! I have an enclosed garden and large, unfenced yard. We are well back from the main road so pets are welcome to explore the neighborhood.

I grew up around horses and farm animals, spent time volunteering with shelters, and have fostered and rehabilitated animals in need. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s who I am. I take their happiness and well-being as seriously as my own, whether that means preparing fresh meals, making sure they stick to their routine, or just giving them lots of love and attention. We hired Shelby to meet us at a half marathon and watch our dogs while we ran. We were traveling from Maryland to Vermont and then on to Rhode Island, and we didn’t want to leave our dogs alone. She was AMAZING! Our 2 dogs loved her from the start and we felt comfortable leaving them with her to keep safe. If we were ever to find ourselves in Vermont again, we would definitely look her up! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

About: I've cared for all kinds of animals including farm animals like chickens and goats to typical house pets, Right down to a sugar glider once I have a wonderful schedule that allows me 3 days off. With school getting ready to pick back up again and winter on its way. I'm looking for a little extra income and what better way than to spend some hours with the best things on the planet, pets! Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are my days off so those are the days I will be available most often. Though, because I don't leave for work until noon, I would be open to morning drop-ins when possible on the weekends. It's important for pets to know they're taken care of fresh food and water. Some play time and company clean litter boxes and walks. Their comfort is key.

About: I currently work full time as a veterinary technician and have years of experience with all types of animals. I also grew up on a farm and currently work on a horse farm as a hobby in my free time. I throughly enjoy pet sitting and spoil them as if they are my own. My favorite part of the job is meeting new people, their pets & all the different personalities i get to enjoy. I want to make your pets as comfortable & happy as possible while you’re away. I stick to their daily routines to have some normality while you’re gone. I have a lot of knowledge with animals and their health. I’ll be able to take care of your pet daily and if there is any emergencies or issues, I’ll know how to safely handle them. I’m also comfortable administrating medications. My schedule is pretty consistent each week. Each work day is typically 8 hours long but some days are shorter than others. Depending on location, lunch time breaks are available! My biggest responsibility is safety; keeping your pet safe while happy is my top priority. This goes for while on walks, adventures or even just bathroom breaks. As well as any sickness that may come up while you’re gone. Being a veterinary technician, i can realize a sickness sooner than others and know the right course of action.

About: Hello, I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, and turtles. For the past four years, I’ve mostly been house-sitting/taking care of a good neighbor/friend turtle who I love dearly. I’ve put her to bed and cleaned her cage, along with feeding her while sitting with her for 3+ hours most days. I’ve learned to care for pets as if they are my own and love all animals. :)) Pet care is a vital and seamless part of my daily and weekly routine. Over the past four years, I have taken care of dogs, cats, and especially a neighbor's turtle, who I have grown to love dearly. Each day, I ensure that she is fed and her cage is cleaned, and I spend over three hours sitting with her, ensuring she feels loved and cared for. This routine has taught me to care for pets as if they were my own and deepened my love for all animals. Incorporating pet care into my schedule is crucial to me. I ensure my pet is happy and healthy, from morning walks to evening snuggles. Every activity, whether feeding, brushing, or playing, is an opportunity to deepen our bond and show my pets the love and attention they deserve. Balancing pet care with my other responsibilities, such as my involvement in ROTC at Norwich University for the past three years, has honed my discipline and time management skills. In addition to my ROTC commitments this summer, I am taking summer courses and have lacrosse practices. Despite these busy schedules, I always ensure that pet care remains integral to my routine, reflecting my dedication to their well-being. As a dedicated pet caregiver/Owner, my approach to pet care is tailored to the pet's needs and the environment. I prioritize creating a safe and nurturing space in my own home or while providing services for clients. This includes regular feeding schedules, enriching activities such as walks or playtime, administering medications if needed, and maintaining cleanliness through regular grooming and sanitation practices. Additionally, I strive to provide ample affection and attention to ensure each pet feels valued and loved, whether under my roof or in the comfort of a client's home.

Lauren looked after my 2 dogs,(and tropical fish) or 2 weeks in-house, during a vacation this spring. The dogs loved it so much more than doggy day care, being in their own house with the full attention of one carer. They ate and slept well and had walks and fun with Lauren, who was very responsible with them and the property.

Janice has always been the most amazing with her dogs. Everyone in town who had received a dog from Janice we call them “Janice dogs” because they’re all so well behaved. She started training them from day one and they have the best manner because they’re so well cared for. I would not only consider getting another dog from Janice, but I would also trust her 100% with the care of my pet.

With dogs I'm willing to take them out on walks on the leash till I know they'll recall to me, unless you live on a property that they run free on often.

Katt watched my two dogs and one ferret. She was wonderful. It was great to have a farent (farent parent) watch my little guy. Most people don't really know what they are doing with exotics. It was cool to hear she has experience with snakes too. I didn't need her for that, but my neighbor did so it was super handy. Very sweet girl.

I highly recommend Ben as a reliable and caring dog walker. He has been walking my dog, Mouche and has consistently impressed me with his dedication and professionalism. Ben is always punctual, ensuring a consistent routine for my dog. Their bond is undeniable, as Mouche gets visibly excited whenever he sees him. He goes above and beyond by bringing his own treats and poop bags, taking the initiative to keep Mouche sharp with obedience skills, and even offering treats to my older dog who can no longer join the walks due to her arthritis. She loves Ben too! Ben offers competitive rates, making his exceptional service a great value compared to doggie daycare. I am incredibly grateful for the care and attention he shows all my dogs. He is reliable, trustworthy, and passionate about his work, and I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a fantastic dog walker.

Elijah took amazing care of our 3 y/o bully fur baby Agape for 2 weeks. He gave him his meds, eyedrops, fed and walked him often and played with him as much as Agape wanted. Oddly enough, Agape accepted Elijah almost instantly (it’s odd because Agape is a rescue) and following Elijah around the house within 2-3 hours. When we return, Agape missed Elijah and was sitting by the door for over 20 mins awaiting his return. Thank you so much Elijah for taking sure great care of our fur baby. You’re apart of his pack now.

About: I love dogs! I grew up with a little black poodle named Cherry who is 18 years old now and is featured here! I have been a dog walker for my neighbors whenever they needed in the past. Very comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I am a full time physical therapist/strength train consistently, so very comfortable handling bigger girls and boys. Please contact me if your dog needs a walk or you need to leave your furry friend with me while you go on vacation! I often start late or end early so can be quite flexible depending on your needs. Happy to be prioritize your furry friend as able! I am very respectful of your particular needs/requests. Everyone is a little different. Happy to dog sit and eventually be able to have dogs come stay with me as my landlord allows. Mainly hoping to help with dog walking. I am very mindful of surroundings and ensure we are safe/properly leashed up before heading outside.
