About: I grew up with dogs and cats in my home, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. I started my pet care journey at 15, going all over my hometown to look after people’s pets, and I’ve loved it ever since. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, birds, snakes, and even horses. I have alap spent time volunteering at different shelters both in my home state and Virginia. Each animal brings a unique experience, and I always enjoy the chance to connect with them and give them all the attention and love they need . I have a pretty flexible schedule, I am available most afternoons and evenings throughout the week. I am available after 6:30 AM and before 5 PM. I have a large fenced in yard where your pet can play lots of games and get exercise. If your pet prefers to be crated that’s not problem, but if they prefer to be out, that’s okay too!

We have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for your furry friend to play and two active pups who love a play date with friends. All interactions with your pets and ours will be closely monitored to ensure everyone’s safety. I will get information from you about your preferences and schedule for your pet so I can mirror that while they are staying in our home. I will do everything possible to make your pet happy and comfortable while you are away!

All pets in my care are treated with loving and gentle guidance using only positive reinforcement. All dogs will remain on leash the entirety of their walk. We have a fenced in area off the back patio for bathroom breaks with wood chips as ground coverage. No grass of any kind for the safety of those pets with grass and skin allergies.

We set up a meet and greet during which my pup, Maizy displayed some anxiety, but Tina was not deterred. She knew Maizy needed to warm up at her pace and she got some treats right away to help build up some trust! She sent pictures and really helped me feel at ease that Maizy was well cared for! There was even a storm that rolled by which Maizy is terrified of thunder and Tina helped her feel safe! I would definitely book with her again should we need it!”

The one constant over the years has been her love for fur babies, dogs especially. What's so special about Tamara and her love for dogs is that she doesn't see them as animals. She sees them as little people trapped inside the body of a dog. You won't find a more caring, attentive and nurturing dog lover on this planet. I was in a situation where I was no longer able to provide the love and attention that my senior dog needed. What did Tamara do? She did a trial run by keeping my dog for two weeks to see how she would fit in with the rest of her "pack." After two weeks, we brought her back home. And when it was time for Tamara to leave, my dog didn't hesitate to follow her out the door and jump into the car with her. God worked it all out. To this day, my senior fur baby resides at Tamara's house. She has even opened her home to me, when I'm in the area, so that I can drop in for Fur Baby visitation. She is great with all dogs!
